I thought he was decent backup point guard, however we have Lawson and a healthy Bev

I do miss Josh Smith, we need that attitude guy

It feels like just about every team in the league got better except us. If Howard stays healthy, DMO comes back and picks up right where he left off before his injury, and Lawson stops deferring to Harden so much, then MAYBE we're a better team than last year.

The Rockets didn't make him a priority. Do you disagree? He saved their ass last year, did them a huge favor, and the Rockets obviously thought they could get by without him this year with an injured DMo, TJones and a 2nd rounder. And then the Clippers show him more love than the Rockets - what would you expect him to do?

How did the clippers show more love? They have zero flexibility and could only offer min contracts to anyone, even Lance Stephenson off the scrap heap.

The Rockets talking to Aldridge is not the same as not making Josh a priority

Who was more of a priority for the Rockets this off-season - Josh Smith, or 2nd rounder Montrezz Harrell?

Josh Smith. Harrell was signed at the last second

The question wasn't who was signed when, it was who was more of a priority.

A lot of people underestimating Pablo. He rarely turned the ball over, always made the right pass. Josh is another rim protector and a decent creator. We do miss both of them, but then again DMo ain't playing yet and it's only the 2nd game of the season. Plenty of season left to get back on track. FAITH!!!

Did the Rockets tell Harrell, a 2nd round rookie, to wait until they signed Josh Smith before they would sign him, or was it the other way around?

i remember him basically neutralizing griffin's impact from games 5-7. obviously we know what he did in g6, but people forget imo how good he was in g7 too...especially that 3 in the third that demoralized the clips after they had made a run to come back.

look, smoove had a ton of faults, but i think he was a significantly more impactful player than tjones - on both ends of the floor. i won't forget what he did for us in g6 v. the clips in one of the greatest playoff comebacks of all time, and what he did to save us in g2 v. dallas at home where he absolutely took over with his playmaking ability. smoove was instrumental for us in both the dallas and clippers series. and tbh, it was his HOT start that got us our only win v. the warriors too.

We prioritized signing McDaniels over Josh Smith. He was concerned about his contract next season.

Dude, you've watched too much basketball not to understand the difference maker Smoove was for this team last season, especially on the defensive end where he consistently shut down the paint when Dwight sat and was also sensational playing alongside Dwight with the starters.

I have to assume you're talking about Joshua and not Josh here.
