Blessing in disguise. Jones has literally been our worst player.

It's pretty much the first time the starting 5 ever really played together in a actual game against the defending champs. I've seen worse

watching our offense is like watching pick up basketball at the ymca.

passes ball to player A...dribble around for a bit...pass it to player b...repeat..

we have no idea who should be taking a shot and from where. such a mess.

Exactly. After the 1st period they TANKED. They were tired...weak passes, no focus etc...these guys just need more time to play together. Once they finally click and find how to play that way all the time for the entire game they will be tough to beat. At one point you could see Golden State a bit irritated and frustrated in the 1st period. Never seen them like that playing us...obviously that all changed once the Rox fell apart. It's just gonna be fugly and frustrating to watch them go thru the process but there really isn't an alternative for the Rox other than to deal with it until they fire on all cylinders.

True and Howard silly fouls but I also think that was due to being on the court for the first time due to back injury

I can't remember a worse performance over a two game stretch. The first two games of the season I might add when you'd thin he'd be locked in.

I rewatched as well and I can point you at several sequences where Lawson HARDEN and Jones made absolutely terrible defensive mistakes and left Curry open repeatedly or lost their man, were caught ball watching and didn't show any basic awareness.
That wasnt' the case last year-where the defence was so bad.

The worst of all is Harden because he switches without communicating and it makes the defence fail completely. That's why Ariza hasn't looked well in defence too and that's why many times there were wide open lanes for the GSW players to drive to the basket.

We will not turn the season around until they fix the defensive lapses. Notwithstanding your offensive output, players can ALWAYS play better defense. It is all about wanting it more than the other team, and finding a way to do it for most of the 48 minutes.

Right now, it is on the coaching staff to urge and encourage the players to increase their defensive pressure.
