yup, Orlando took OKC to double OT plus they have been playing really well. I dont think we can take them if we play this poorly.

[rquoter]Howard kept talking about the process and saying not to get worried about things.

"As a team, we've got to figure a lot of things out," he said after his nine-point, seven-rebound evening. "We trust each other and we trust the system to go out there and make plays together. It wasn't always easy for (the Warriors), they had to go through the process and we have to do the same thing."

"It's definitely not (the start we want), but we still got 80 games to go," Harden said. "All you can do is stay positive and continue to work and trust your basketball instinct."

Things would be so much easier for Howard if he would just run pick and rolls with Harden and Lawson. Quit forcing postups!!

So, Thornton's defense is so atrociously bad he gets DNP'd despite our 22% 3PT performances. Brewer should never play 20+ minutes, he's an energy guy. Ariza should never be depended on to 3PM the extent he is. It's unbelievable how many one-way players we employ. Harden needs to shoot better and pick it up defensively. Team needs some hustle. On top of all that, our subpar coaching won't steal us many wins either.

Hahaha **** Dwight Howard! If you cannot get 20+ vs. no legit centers and demand post touches and not commit to the team then you are part of the problem and it will stay the same.

I don't want to overreact, because there's enough of that already... BUT, this is a pretty disappointing start in every way. The chemistry and integrity of the team seem to embrace a charmin-like collapse as a default setting. It is a troubling way to start... at home even.

I expected more carry-over from the great playoff run last year, though, come to think of it, our playoff run ended on a whimper and was, along the way, erratic and crazy.

I re-watched the first quarter. They looked fine. Not perfect, but they played Rockets basketball. No real big mistakes. So they are certainly capable of playing good basketball.

= I am coaching the same way as last season when I took them to 56 wins and WCF. This time it's on the players.

Btw last off season they had two practices a day. If you're not making shots in practice, wouldn't you want to practice more?

    McHale is a moron

One thing I've noticed is that the offense has not been able to go on any kind of run and string together some good offensive and defensive possessions.

That tells me they are not comfortable with playing together right now. Not a lot of chemistry with Capela, Harrell, and Lawson all playing many minutes right now and no Smith or Motiejunas. It's a big change to the chemistry that was developed last year.

They just need time together to become a well-oiled machine.

Orlando was up 18 going into the 4th (score was 93-75); in reality, Orlando coughed that game up IMO. I paid attention to it and OKC's offense picked up sharply in the 4th and scored 42 points. Damn, when both Durant and Westbrook are in Assassin Mode at the same time.

Dwight was instantly doubled every time he got the ball anywhere near the basket. Dwight is not the problem.

    Made some golf comparison, ha.

If you shoot 88 at your local municipal golf course and then go on the PGA tour, something something something I forgot...

He is when he still refuses after all these years to kick the ball out to the open shooter.

We can blame McHale but Moreyball may need to go

Teams have figured us out. They've learned most of our 3's come from the corners and are playing the passing lanes tighter. Guys like Harden & Brewer go into the paint looking for contact, and now teams are playing them differently. We rely solely on 3's & ft's, but since we don't run any set plays our offense stalls and we end up begging for calls. It's amazing to me after watching GS knowing we literally have NO movement on offense. James Harden will eventually get in shape, but our offense will eventually need more cohesiveness. Backdoor cuts, off the ball screens, weakside misdirection etc..this is what moreyball lacks. Standing around watching James Harden dribble has got to go

He did kick it out, what the hell guys. And he was kicking it out, the problem is that no one is bothering to run into open space where Dwight could kick it out to. Notice how little corner 3s we shot in these 2 games.

The Pick n roll doesn't work if the ball handler is hesitant to take an open jump shot from mid range
