I don't care if it's the league cup. What got me upset was that we had all the quality to win the game at HOME. Romero, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Carrick, Fella, Memphis, Lingaard, Pereira and Wilson with Rooney and Martial off the bench I mean half of them play first team and all of them are usually part of a match day squad.
There is your answer. They dont care about the league cup. You can put em on the pitch but that does not mean they care.
I love the League Cup. Every team cares, it really just depends if a Manager wants to rotate his squad. This is were young players get a time to shine and impress,by the time a League Cup Competition reaches the Quarter Finals you see more often that the Top Teams put in a Stronger Squad by that point. Any type of Silverware is important for a football club cause it is prestige especially if you care for the domestic league.(Premier League/League Championships). Also Lower League teams give some great upsets against Top Clubs. Wenger seems to put in a strong squad a majority of the time for his League Cup clashes, which is a costly mistake depending on the opponent. LVG,I really dont know what to think of him. I definitely believe he is a hard manager to play for. Maybe he is stubborn but he does get the job done most of the time. Loved that Klopp played/started some youth players, he really seems like a great motivator, he can really develop some nice players for Pool.
I think the key for LFC is how well Coutinho plays. He has sucked this season. If he can duplicate his creativity amd explossiveness from last season, the team will be rolling. I guess things changed when Suarez left, followed by Sterling. The team couldn't establish an identity. lots of hope on the shoulders of Klopp.
LOL! Ref allowed 25 seconds more than 2 minute extra time. Mourniho looking to walk into the tunnel. Coutinho scores. Chelsea trolled by refs.
There was a moment right on the 2 minutes when the ref should've blown but Liverpool were on the attack after that. Chelsea have been way too cautious and they got what they deserved
Chelsea got the ball at the 2 min mark and I thought ref would blow the whistle but he let them play. Right after that Chlesea lost the ball and then Liverpool retained it. I thought ref would blow the whistle but he let them play. Liverpool capitalized. Ref had chances to blow the whistle when both of the teams had possession but decided not to.
Him being sacked after the ref made a questionable decision is the best thing ever, the post-game interview will be legendary.
yeah pretty much. Liverpool got lucky with that but was surprised how badly Chelsea went into a shell after that goal. Could be the springboard for Klopp and the writing on the wall for Mourinho
Bye bye Mourinho. Thank god we didnt play Origi again also. He does very little for us as a lone striker.
