no way adelman would be 0-2 with this roster.. this would be adelman's best roster since the glory years of the kings
Not really sure if how Harden and Dwight played is a coaching issue. If Watt plays like crap (he never does, but bear with me) do you blame the coach?
Omg our offense needs some serious penetration... We just pass around the perimeter, throw it in to Dwight so he can throw a cross court Pashto the other side.
This is the deepest team the Rockets have had in a while. If this team doesn't perform to their expectations, the whole coaching staff should be in question. Not just McHale.
We should learn from the Warriors, Mark Jackson did a helluva job and they still went in another direction. They recognised that changes were needed and made the necessary happen. There was great risk, but look at the reward. If Leslie and Morey do not see that, then they should never say they want to win a championship because that's a straight up lie. Leslie seems happy we are just running and gunning, shooting many threes and said he want to do that 15 years ago. For him it's all about revenue.
Putting your players in position to succeed even when they're not shooting well is a coaching issue. Harden going one on three by design is a coaching issue.
He's letting things happen. He isn't taking much of a prescriptive approach at this point. Ty needs to shoot for this offense to work IMHO . . . he is way too hesitant still.
I don't agree with us switching, every single pick in human history. We are even switching Downscreens that lead to easy post up mismatches which causes more problems for us...Grrrr...Get it together guys
I love McHale, he's a great guy and everything. But as a coach he is really frustrating. It's almost as if we don't run any offensive plays. He's just like "go out there, run a pick and roll, if that doesn't work out then just shoot the ball" or "Harden isolation". It's really frustrating to watch. The other posters have already talked about his defensive strategy so I won't even get into that. Also, his inbound plays during clutch situations are absolutely not fooling any other coaches. I agree with a previous poster who said this would be Adelman's best team since his Sac Kings. Adelman was like a war general, strategically setting up plays. Knowing his players weaknesses and strengths. And executing. Feels good to be back on clutchfans. This is the true nature of a Rockets fan. To be frustrated as hell.
Let's face it. Les is a New York businessman who bought himself a basketball team to play with. I agree, the Rockets went from a team where many people in the audience were down to earth, hardworking, blue collar type of people to an atmosphere of no soul having, corporate people who aren't even fans. They just go to the games because they got free tickets from their boss. And half the time people don't even go to games. That's why I haven't been to a game in a couple of seasons is because the atmosphere in the Toyota Center is just dead during the regular season. I start to get sleepy. The fans are just as much a part of the team as the players are, if not bigger.
