Dwight has like the lowest bball IQ - he gets stupid foul calls his entire career and can't find a way to avoid them.. I mean, come on

Morey can't be too happy with these performances.

 

The NBA is differmt now you need bigs that can shoot. None of our bigs can shoot outside 5 feet. They all have a similar skill set. We would seriously be a better team if we had Marcus Morris still. We miss having chandler parsons too I now see it and like ariza but not having guys who can catch the ball attack and then hit other players for easy looks is killing us. The offense is so bad right now Morey ball
Has got to go. We need a free flowing offense like GSW and the Spurs. Hell even the cavs are starting to move the ball around better this season.

did anyone hear from harden after the loss to denver? exactly,,, "its just one game"...

so, for those "it's just 2 games" talkers, which number do y'all have to see to start to really worry? 5, 10?

idk what is going on with this team. it's so rare and unreal that a pro sports team can start a season look this much unprepared and disinterested. feels worse than the texans.

i sense a real danger of missing the playoffs altogether this yr., if they dont put their act together, and soon...

honestly it doesn't matter what the rockets do.

they're still gonna win 55+ games and still be one of the best teams in the west but the rockets just have to hope they avoid the warriors in the playoffs because they simply can't beat them.

the warriors are just flat out better than the rockets in every way possible.

better superstar, better role players, better coaching, better shooting, better on defense, etc.

if they meet them in the playoffs again and both teams are healthy the warriors are gonna still smack the rockets up.

 

any logic to back that one up? just b/c they did it last yr.? or it's just a hunch?

 

the lack of effort and energy tonight was the opposite of what we all wanted to see, but there were bursts there where the offense resembled what it's supposed to look like. lawson had some nice assists, he will only continue to do that. him and capela seem to have chemistry. it'll come together.
but i just don't trust mchale to be the one to do it. even if harden, dwight, and lawson put their heads together to lead the team (which is obvs what should happen) there still needs to be an authority figure to tie it together. there needs to be someone who can....coach them. it's the only way this team achieves its potential. this team's potential IS a championship. but they need to be led there.

 

i just think the team is too talented over the course of the season to finish below 4th if they can stay healthy.

my take is this team may have a lot less "talent" than many fans think. just my opinion.

 

I think they will win around 55 as well.

Look, these first 5 games or so will basically be their "pre-season" because these guys didnt play together due to injuries.

Harden is pressing. His free throws are there and his mid-range shot is nothing but net. The problem is that his 3-ball isnt falling so he tries to make up for it by driving to the basket where 3 guys are waiting for him. Add to that, he is facing a top 3 defense in golden state. When he finally catches his breath and settles down, he will realize that the 15-ft mid-range shot is what they are giving him and he needs to take it.

Everyone is forcing the issue. They all have one thing on their mind when they are driving to the basket instead of just taking what the defense is giving them and THAT is leading to the turnovers, charges, and missed layups. The only thing that will fix this is PRACTICE and time on the court together. Its not an excuse, its just a fact.
