There's been a lot of pessimism on the GARM in the last couple of days - admittedly, including from me.

However, in terms of sheer wins and losses, it's not a disaster to drop a game against the defending champions and arguably the best Warriors team ever, even though it was a terrible performance.

The Nuggets loss was bad, but that's one bad slip-up in an 82-game campaign, there's plenty of time to turn it around.

Secondly, it's bleedingly obvious that there's a clear attitude problem in the team. There's a lack of effort from most starters and there doesn't appear to be much leadership from, well, anyone.

But Jeff Van Gundy's post-game interview put it well that "it's a good wake-up call" and that "Kevin McHale will have a team that's really listening over the next couple of weeks."

So if this is the ugly start to the season that serves as a catalyst for a more determined and cohesive Rockets team, it will be a great result. Better that than having had the T-Wolves and Sixers up first, beat up on them and remain the arrogant and lazy squad that we have now.

Let's try to give the likes of McHale, Harden, Dwight and TJ a chance before we start calling for their heads and see how they respond to the pressure they'll certainly receive after the last couple of games.

Next game in Miami. Good Heat squad, but a team that we should beat. Rockets lose that game then I'll start worrying.

This team seems to play better on the Road for whatever reason any ways.

That's true. Our away record was pretty decent last season.

That will be a good spirit-lifter if we can get over them.

We do seem to be lacking a decent motivator, unfortunately.
Maybe we should sign Carlos Boozer as an Associate Head Coach!
