Ugh I was hoping you'd say Blount. Should I expect another -3 pts from Blount again this week. About to move his ass to the bench and put Willie Sneed in.
Have both and I'm going with Big Ben. Wilson just hasn't exploded for over 20 pts for me all season and I need as much points as I can get this week.
Finally have a question for you jabronis. PPR. Bonus for 100+ yards receiving and rushing. Bonus for big yardage plays. I need advice on 2RBs, 1WR and 1 Flex from this group. Forsett @SD Ivory @OAK D. Martin @ATL Woodhead @BAL Chris Johnson @CLE Dez @SEA or Mike Evans @ATL at WR2 and/or Flex over previously mentioned RB's? Currently I'm leaning: Forsett, Ivory, Martin (Flex), Evans (WR2). But Chris Johnson has been solid and Woodhead can produce in a hurry when San Diego gets behind. Also a WR like Dez, even if hobbled vs an elite secondary can put up points fast once Dallas gets behind. Just not sure he can make it through the game or if Cassell can get him the ball. But in a single late game drive Dez can put up 8.5pts without needing a TD easy in PPR. WRs also have the best chance at 100yd games which get me another 3 or 5 points (I forget). Also, note to you jabronis - stop drafting RB's early. It's futile.
You tell us to stop drafting RB's early, but Dez/Andrew Luck/Peyton are prime examples of why no position is safe. But I digress. As far as your question, I would definitely start Forsett, I'd pair him with Johnson as opposed to Ivory. Chris Ivory has been a beast this season, but he has a nagging injury, and he's going up against *gulp* the Raiders, who actually haven't allowed a 100yd rusher despite playing against Justin Forsett, Matt Forte, Giovani Bernard, and Jeremy Hill (when he was still the guy). Most rushing yards they've allowed to an opposing RB is 91, and that was on 25 carries (3.6YPC)! Chris Johnson is the lead back, in a wide open offense that's going to put up some points. He's playing against Cleveland who's allowed over 100yds rushing every game this season. As for your WR, I know Dez is talented, but with Matt Cassell at the helm, there's no way I could confidently start him ESPECIALLY when my other choice is Mike Evans. Mike Evans is going up against Atlanta, last time he played Atlanta he went for 7/125/1TD. This was with Vincent Jackson there, and no running game. Now he's one of only 2 healthy receivers on the roster, and he's also got a good running game there to keep the defense honest. I think he'll get his chances. I'd take Mike Evans. Then flex would be between Martin and Oakland. Martin is having a great season, as well as Ivory. But both of them are playing good teams on the road. So for me, it's about Ivory's health. If he's proven himself to be healthy (how you would actually know, is beyond me), then I would consider leaning slightly his way, but Martin has been on an absolute tear. If it were my team, I'd start Martin, but I would have tempered expectations. Forsett, Chris Johnson, Doug Martin, and Mike Evans
Unless that back's name is Le'Veon Bell I would agree. You got some pretty good mid-value RB's that are top 10 top guys most likely the rest of the way.I am so annoyed at myself for missing out on Devonta Freeman. I agree with your initial thought but am also unsure about Chris Johnson or Doug Martin. I would lean towards CJ2K because he is going against Cleveland who will get stomped through the air and on the ground IMO. They can't stop anyone on the ground. Martin has been running really well but Atlanta's D is playing pretty well save for the 5 TD's given up to Joseph Randle and Mark Ingram the past couple of weeks. Those seem a bit flukey to me. It seems like a toss up so I would go with your first gut call whether it is Martin or CJ. Martin is getting some catches too which is a nice surprise lately. As for WR2, I think I would go Evans since he should get a massive amount of targets. I have him in one league and hope he can convert 10+ catches since Vincent Jackson won't be hogging any redzone or wasted throws like he normally does. Not sure if Evans can handle double teams but I would bet money he can find a way to beat them. Tampa Bay is solid enough offensively that it will be tough to key on Evans only even though they are shorthanded at receiver.
Also, forgot to add, you could almost make the case for benching Ivory over CJ and Martin but I have Ivory to and am confident he will be in for a massive workload assuming he stays off the injury report. That will be the big key. Anyways, I have some decisions to make also. I am already projected to get beaten bu 20 pts. thanks to Gronk and Brady killing it last night. Here is my team below. QB Palmer RB Bell RB Ivory WR Keenan Allen WR Randall Cobb TE Travis Kelce Flex ???? - (Latavius Murray vs. NYJ, Jeremy Hill @ PIT, Ronnie Hillman vs. GB) Really not sure what to do on this one. I am actually higher on Hill and Hillman than I am on Murray since NYJ is tough to run on. I like Hill since he has a good chance at multiple red zone opportunities and like Hillman for his big play ability but still not sure how the carries will play out. I think Hill will get at least 15+ carries this week as well as Hillman since both games should be pretty close throughout. What to do?
Mike Evans is going to be the focal point of the Falcons D. Tampa Bay will have to throw the ball at some point. I actually like Evans better if ASJ ends up playing, because that will not make it so easy to roam a safety over on Evans. Really don't like Dez at all and would probably play Woodhead instead. Martin gets bumped down a bit because Charles Sims steals his PPR thunder. I'd roll Forsett, Woodhead, CJ2k for sure. Evans if ASJ is playing.
Question 1: Anyone feeling confident about Denver's defense this weekend? I'm a little worried they're going to get run amok by the Packers. Question 2: If not, which defenses would you start over them? There's DET, NO, ATL, TB, CIN, TENN, OAK, CLE on the waiver wire.
I have a feeling Denver is not going to be the D we have seen the beginning of the season. They are yet to face a real QB so this will be the true test. Rodgers had a couple of mediocre weeks even though they won and he should come out firing after the bye week. That's just my opinion of course. It's hard to just sit a D that has been putting up points like they have though.
Anyone with Russell Wilson thinking of dropping him? He's just not putting up numbers in my 6 pt/passing TD league, and he also has no rushing TDs. Which of these three would you start this weekend? Pick 1: Russel Wilson vs Dal Ryan Fitzpatrick vs Oak J Cutler vs Min Thanks!
I think Fitzpatrick is in a good spot. Also guys - I've been starting up a new blog about DFS and would appreciate you guys reading / commenting / sharing. If you post comments asking for DFS or regular fantasy advice there, I will be sure to respond. Week 8 DFS picks: http://www.dailyfantasydork.com/2015/11/01/nfl-picks-week-8/
Looks good. Pretty much exactly what I'm thinking and only one player on my lineup isn't on there (Nate Washington for salary relief). I'm still trying to decide between Dalton and Rivers. Currently have Dalton but Rivers gets so much volume in that offense. Also, I'm actually targeting Evans but understand why you wouldn't. Just think he'll get all the work he can handle in a game they should be playing catch-up in.
I'm screwed this week, lost Foster and Yeldon is on bye. Left with CJ Anderson, Hillman, C. Michael and Polk. Forced to start both Denver RB's because I don't have any faith in the other two...Or should I take a flyer on Polk?
