    Whoa, accountability?

    That's actually encouraging if true.

Hmm, turn them into an expansion team again and hope they get things right this time? That's asking an awful lot seeing as how you'd be depending on McNair to put the right organization in place - something he completely flubbed the last go round. Just be prepared to stomach a LOT of losing football as this team accumulates talent from ground zero while trying to remain competitive in the NFL. If the you and the fans are this up in arms over a 2-5 record just imagine how a 2-14 or a few 4-12 or 6-10 seasons will go over. Be very careful what you ask for - you just might get it.

Dumping the FO and coaching staff doesn't turn a team back into an expansion team. Also, the issue isn't the record, it's the pattern of terrible decisions by the coaching staff and the FO.

Expansion teams generally don't have DeAndre Hopkins, JJ Watt and Jadaveon Clowney as building blocks...

BOB looked promising last year; but he has, in very short order, undone much of his good will - at least with me. He's had two spectacularly bad drafts - and we didn't need 2, 3, 4 years to discover it; they've been DOA both years. And he dealt picks in both drafts; these busts were guys he *traded up for*. I mean...... And then his handling of the QB situation is an out-and-out clown show; a cruel joke. He has shown no urgency and far too much arrogance. I also, frankly, thought he acted like a buffoon on Hard Knocks. Also, can I just say?... I was weary of the Crennel hire at the time... a few posters I respect eventually talked me into it but.... he looks like the game has passed him by, which was my fear. I get some guys are just better-suited to be coordinators but... he looked so baffled as a head coach.

Anyway... I'm as open-minded and patient as any fan... but I don't think I've ever soured quicker on someone than I have BOB. He deserves a chance to turn this around these final 9 games - but I truly think he has the look/feel/demeanor of a college coach.

What's worse is the thought that any part of this regime still has a chance to survive. Two consecutive embarrassments McNair can handle, but a third would make him finally do something.

Yep and in typical fashion they will win Sunday further delaying any actions.

We've seen enough of McNair to know his tendencies. I'll believe he takes action appropriately when I see it.

That's coming anyway. They're going to lose..a lot. They're losing now. They've missed on too many draft picks now and it's not just caught up with them; it's lapped them. There is no sugar-coating it....they're going to be bad for a while, in all likelihood.

Time to take the medicine so you can get better.

I can't imagine being afraid of change with this bunch....it's the possibility they're satisfied with more of the same that terrifies me.

Not so. I thought you were calling for a total slash-and-burn ala the ALastros. Doing that essentially turns them back into an expansion team. And I just can't put all of the blame on the coaching staff. You can run BoB and these coaches out of town tomorrow, replace them with a shiny new coaching staff and wind up with the same results because you are dealing with a group of players who aren't committed to playing winning football.

Oh no, those guys will gone - traded for "picks" I assume. You can't justify keeping these guys around if you are undergoing a complete rebuild from scratch that folks are calling (screaming) for here.

For sure, BoB looks increasing out of his depth as a head coach here. I believe that he over-estimated the football chops of this group of players and when they underperformed , he was caught totally flat footed. We agree about his mishandling of the QB situation which has been a disaster from the start and your points on Crennel are well taken because he does have a history (like Wade "Coach FixIt" Phillips). Unfortunately, this 2015 season is looking to validate Murphys 3rd Law: "anything that can go wrong will go wrong".

I attribute this to his somewhat arrogant and abrasive personality. That was to be expected given that they were hiring a "Belichick-lite" head coach. If BoB was winning, this would be a non-issue (as it is in NE with Belichick) but because the team is so disappointing this year, it's just one more thing that grates on the fans' nerves. BoB can say "It's on me" only so many times before fans will agree with him and call for his ouster.

That's a legitimate fear but my gut tells me that McNair will give BoB the rest of this year to right this ship. Starting next year he'll be on a super short leash ala Joe Philbin in Miami and if they stumble out the gate in 2016, ol' BoB will be forced to walk the plank.

Hopkins and Clowney are both way too young to trade for draft picks in order to rebuild.
