Curry on the Rockets: "I guess the only thing is I'll have to play defense this year"

Warriors are the front runner-est team in recent memory.

Doc Rivers was right when he said that GSW got lucky in the playoffs. Lawson was right to say that he wants to make it so that Curry has to defend this year.

Yet, if someone speaks on them and it's not capitulation or tribute to their greatness, they react with snark because they are being disrespected.

The national media goats them, and then eats it up. It's pretty lame.

 

So they should've said, "yeah, you're all correct. We got lucky and don't deserve the championship". Would that make your feel better?

 

Lol Curry is humble though. GS offensive attack is schemed perfect for the players that they have. That's a big reason why Curry looks so good. Is not really a one on one beast he just attacks through the team offense really well.

 

Maybe you people should worry more about the Rockets playing like **** and less about what jokes Curry makes.

 

Don't understand the logic that, because it shouldn't be one extreme, the ONLY option is for it to be the complete opposite extreme.

Plus, It's not about anyone feeling bad, or making anyone "feel better". It's just a reflection of who they are as a team and the environment around them.

If you have a shooter like Curry, would you rather have him defend more or shoot more (navigate through those screens, multiple defenders, etc..)? He's not a freak of nature athlete like Harden or LBJ or MJ or Hakeem or Kobe (at least in the NBA level). Did you really watch the finals footage on how the Cavs chase Curry all over the court with several players? Did you see the multiple screens, 2-3 most of the time set by the Warriors just to give him a ray of sunlight for him to launch his 3 pts?

I can't believe GS isn't more humble though. It took how long to win a championship? We played without 2 starters the entire playoffs, and a center with a torn meniscus.

Last year Curry and Harden were neck and neck. Neither is easily better than the other.

Curry doesn't need to play much defense.

 

Defensive strategy against the Rockets: just let them shoot and prepare for the rebound.
