Yes, forgiveness for well-to-do conservatives but not for dems nor blacks that serve 15 years for doing the same drug as a banker.

    The irony.

I know a few executives who served under her - they openly mocked her and her leadership. That alone tells you how much people would respect her as president.

It won't work in a real presidential debate where the moderators are far more savvy and the audience is not partisan.

Yup, 2000 through 2005. They were the best of times, they were the worst of times.

He tweeted the sentiment exactly. Some right-wing outlets described it as "trolling" but the guy doesn't believe in evolution or the big bang, so I have no idea if he was kidding or not.

As a friend of mine said, "yeah! And Batman didn't need to go to the Police Academy!"

I just watched the StarTalk with Bill Clinton. It was all about how government should invest in science.

Amateurs didn't go to the moon, sequence the Genome, or build the Hubble.

    :(

The only thing our society doesn't fear is stupidity, and it is the one primary thing that we should fear.

He was so proud of it he tweeted it the next day. Fortunately I don't have commodore or basso cut n' paste tweet skills.

Yeah, back when you all you had to do was destroy the money supply and kill Injuns. It's not a bad story, and he was too young to be justifiably defined or judged by it now; but people in general are little too enamored with redemption as opposed to actual competence.

That Ark/Titanic thing is a long-standing silly little saying that the fundamentalist right likes to say, I remember hearing it 30 years ago.

The fact that Trump and Carson own 50% of the conservative electorate now tell you all you need to know about the state of the Republican party. They are no longer seriously trying to win general elections.

I stated this on many occasions on here but:

The Koch's and the 1% know the most cost effective investment is at the Congressional and State House level to keep High Income Earner's taxes low and stifle corporate regulation. And with this strategy of gridlock they have to maintain a credible scapegoat to blame the inaction on, like: the President will not work with us". They do not want a GOP president because then they would have to assume responsibility for governing or not governing.

The strategy works well because you can't really mount a national campaign built on regressive policies (anymore with the death of 'trickle down' economics) anyway.

This is a nice leftist theory about the evil plotting of the Koch brothers, but if their goal really was to NOT elect a GOP president, they wouldn't spend so much damn money in the race. You are crazy if you think right wing business interests are "happy" with the current situation.
