THIS. We all know when the rockets lose Jones is to blame by default even though the rest of the team plays like utter crap. Its become almost comical now days.
No one here is blaming jones for the loss...stop fixating on a false thought and basing all your arguments off of it....we lost the game because we all played like **** as a team and underestimated denver. But during the game, because dwight wasnt on the floor, Tjones faults that we keep on repeating here were highlighted and add to that the added Bulk made him look even slower then he once was, which was one of his few strengths. He is still Soft and cant finish around the rim and cant get rebounds, He still cant shoot outside of 12 ft so defenders can sag off him and protect the paint, he still has 0 basketball awareness,he still cant seem to catch and finish in one motion....He still does not do ANYTHING we want our power forwards to do period. With that i will say farewell to this thread, cuz i cant keep repeating the same **** over and over
Htownballer38 is Jones fan, no wonder he's trying to defend him so badly. Hypocrite, that's who he is, asking why we need to ****mouth Jones, when he talks crap about DMo himself.
Htownballer is a Rockets first. I'm pulling for every player to be successfully unlike you and a few others. I don't come here talking about trade this player or that player because they didn't play well in the playoffs against elite PF'S. Man if you don't stop lying I never talked Dmo down here like y'all do Jones. Dmo is by far the Rockets best low post player. Does he have his faults, heck yeah. But a Dmo only fan such as yourself won't ever speak on that. And like your sig suggest , you will definitely go on my ignore list.
Put me in the Jones needs a reduced role on this team category. If that category doesn't exist yet then let's create it. I think he's just too inconsistent to start and play major minutes on a night in and night out basis. Minimize his role and I think he'll be just fine. Montrezl Harrell is going to be a PLAYER, and I'm hoping to see him grow into a larger role; with he and Motiejunas front running and Jones as the 3rd option. I'm predicting that Montrezl will continue to outplay Jones and once Motiejunas returns Jones will be organically delegated to the 3rd PF spot. Then hopefully Coach just roles with whoever is playing best with his three man PF rotation. But no need to seek to trade Jones. Now if a deal presents itself then that's another issue.
With Dwight back. Jones is the fifth option on offense. You people here appear to completely obsessed with the last option on offense.
I'm ok if it plays out that way and the team gets good value back by trading him. But Jones has solid value as a 3rd PF option, IMO. I think this line of thinking is obsolete. In today's game and with the way the Rockets play, you HAVE to be able to score in the spots where you receive the ball. Lawson is going to get penetration, draw attention, and want to dish to the big in the paint. If Jones is in the game then often times he will be that big. His lack of explosion and inability to finish in traffic will hurt this team.

I don't get why you people still defend Jones. The majority of us don't blame him completely on a loss, but he doesn't help one bit. The dude is absolute garbage. He has five impressive nights out of an 82 game season and thats it. He's a poor man's Tristan Thompson and even he isn't good. I'd rather start Harrell, cause atleast he brings energy. That shows alot when a rookie brings it harder on his first game than Terrence Jones in his fourth year in the league. Just give up on the dude already. Trade him while he's still worth some value.
Because your ilk has a different meaning of "absolute garbage". I'm not sure what metric you are using to determine that but TJones and DMo are pretty statistically similar over their careers using whatever metric. He's actually statistically above average.
