Milkhair provides a lot hes a player coach keeps everyone happy, and is very important to wooing free agents. I would love Scott Brooks as an assistant if at all possible, but coaches in this league are over rated a monkey could run a team with enough talent to a championship i.e. Spoelstra

Kevin McHale should be an arm chair coach working for TNT but somehow convinced Morey he should be a real one.

This is a classic argument for someone who has no valid argument.
"Kevin Mchale knows better that than everyone else because he has the job"

I'm sorry the usual excuses are not going to fly this season. All summer all the talk I heard was we were atleast going to be the hungrier team. I didn't see a hungry team yesterday I saw coasting and some of that has to be on the coach at this point, we can't always blame the players.

the classic scapegoat by the armchairs is always McHale and never holding the players accountable.

Again in case folks here haven't noticed: IT'S BEEN ONE F'ING GAME!!! Let's see what kind of record McHale has at end of year before screaming for his head...or hair.

Except for the total fact that you are wrong about that. You see plenty of trade this person and trade that person threads. But when you say something about Mchale it's a war and I'm trying to figure out why? What has Kevin Mchale done that is so incredible that the mere mention of trying someone else makes some people hostile. I believe roxtia said it earlier he's gotten anonymous hate reps from people so have I it's ridiculous, lol.

You're missing the point, the days of us losing to the Nuggets on home openers are supposed to be over, we were supposed to be ready this year. We are not. If we lost by a couple of points I could stomach it but by 20 points? really? And Mchale has nothing to do with that? really? It's just the players?

definitely not wrong. the trade this person and that person threads dont really mean much. that has nothing to do with accountability. what you don't see is very many people holding the players accountable when a lot of times it comes down to execution. It hilarious seeing all the people drilling McHale when Harden is the obvious one struggling and shooting 20%. Even more interesting is half those people were drilling AD on opening night. But when it happens to Harden its apparently not that bad.

since you're specifically talking about last night, how much did McHale really have to do with players shooting 20% from 3.

Harden will have bad nights, that's human. It's what Mchale is able to do when Harden isn't saving his ass that counts. The trade this person trade that person does mean a lot in this context because it shows a lack of confidence in a certain persons game. You don't see all out wars unless it's a trade Harden or Dwight thread but is Mchale really on that level as a coach that we can't even consider another coach without all out hatred coming our way it's silly.

I know it's just one game and these guys will figure it out but...

Draw up plays to open up inside shots
    Put in better outside shooters

My assumption is that he is in charge of players being prepared and putting them in positions to win, also telling them to by all means if you are not going to hit a three tonight for gods sake stop shooting them.

I'm all for criticism when its warranted. There's likely going to be plenty for McHale this year especially with a team being as deep as it is since this leads to alot more decisions but sometimes like last night theres not much McHale could have done differently. Despite playing horribly, they probably could have pulled that game out still in the 4th if they had strung together a run for a few minutes. But the shots were falling at all and layups were being missed. A tough night indeed but theres a very long road ahead. The season takes its usual form by midseason and beyond.

Yup, problem with MilkHair is he is slow with adjustments, too soft with players, and no idea on how to run some plays ala Adelman. We are running the same plays over and over again.

I know this team will play better, and we will be better this year than last, but for **** sake, that's not enough! We have a championship caliber team that should kill any opponent when all players are utilized to their full potential. We can't just start off slow and pick up steam later. Every freaking game will cost us a step of winning the trophy.

I am absolutely sure that this team can win the championship with any coach but MilkHair

Hey hold up YOLO you do know some holds Jones accountable to the 100 degree. It was also his fault we got blown out by the Nuggets. Let's not hold Harden (29%) Ariza ( 20%), Lawson (30%), and Beverley (33%) accountable. Let's not hold them accountable for not playing defense either.

    Only on the GARM

I love the blame game around here after losses.

The reality is, you're not going to beat anyone in this league when you shoot 34% from the floor.
