Did you watch the game yday or pre-season? I didn't see much of Harden moving around or cutting. It was the same old stagnant offense. Ty drives into the lane and everyone is camping at the 3 point line well covered by defenses. How many clean looks did Harden get cutting to the basket? And yeah, I actually call BS on your other stuff.
Wait, didn't Lawson play in Denver? Wouldn't you think his former team, who he was in practice with every day would know how he plays defense?
No, he didn't cut. Agree on that. But he did move. He did reposition himself for the long ball. He did not do that with Lin. It'll be a huge difference. And Harden will be cutting this year. Much more than he did with Lin or even Bev. Don't care about your bs call. This was a constant theme of the Harden/Lin era. http://www.sportsgrid.com/nba/this-weird-on-court-exchange-between-james-harden-and-jeremy-lin/
Thank you. And I remember both of us lobbying for Rubio. And to everybody no Lawson didn't do anything to me or my wife it's just I can see the problem all year long. Time and chemsity isn't going to fix it either. I guess I'm sort of in that "I told you so" mode and will be all year.
There's a good reason why Lawson had to non-guarantee his last season. He has to bring it this year to earn that last year. And even then Morey might still waive him after the season. I'm not for sure how long Lawson is to be a quality starting point guard in this league. Him and Harden will get it together and will have many dynamic offensive games. But there'll also be a lot of high-scoring affairs as the opponent comes back down and cleans our clock on the defensive end.
Did he fail to point out to Steph, "[Sure] you are going to have play defense; but scoring, that will be really easy for you"? It seems unusually biased and glass-half-full to not give the whole story.
And also remember people where saying he was going to put us over the top so if he comes off the bench it would already be a fail. Because anybody who is the piece to supposedly put a team over the top shouldn't come off the bench.
Was this the 1st game of the season or 1st game of the playoffs. Give the coaching staff a chance to put Ty into better situations defensively. I have to admit, I was totally shocked by the performance. Lackluster to say the least and is that on the coaching staff?
