how about a non-factor? j/k. he's on the decline. and the decline will be accelerating, i think. the fact (iirc) that he has a player option of 22 mils next yr kinda scares me.
It's funny because there will be moments this season where dudes will ask "are we better without Dwight?" and it will be hilarious like it always is.
No, they just played sloppy. If they played like they did against San Antonio first half they would have won. There is the issue that they didn't look used to playing with each other and not being comfortable. Ty Lawson looked to be a facilitator when the team and seemingly pushed too hard on passes that weren't there. That and Ariza, Brewer, and Jones didn't provide a spark. Harden just didn't get calls for better or worse. He got hacked throughout the game but he should not have let that get to him and in turn played for the worse. It's a game. No biggie. Play like that against the Warriors and it will be worse. 82 games for a reason. We aren't the Texans.
Dwight has always stepped up his game in the playoffs. Unless Clint or DMO transforms into Hakeem over the course of this season, there is no way Dwight is not the W factor (meaning without Dwight we are not contenders). Now if Dwight were to opt out and sign a 5 year max deal and the question is, will Dwight be a W factor every single year up until 2020? My answer would be a clear cut no, but pinpointing the cut off year would be a challenge.
He's the .... Rebound Factor. Sure could have used him & DMo last night , they got abused in the paint without both of them.
We're just not a good team without him. First game he plays 30+ minutes and we beat a contender. He's frustrating, annoying, keeps making the same mistakes, etc. But we need him.
Dude does his job. My only gripe with him is he goes to post up too often. Other than that, love his attitude, effort and on-court impact.
I feel like every chance you get you say something negative about harden or Howard, go back to the mavs forum loser
I just we would get at least 90% of "playoff" Dwight on a regular basis. He is a huge factor in the playoffs, there is no arguing that. We are better with him in the regular season too but just imagine if he brought his playoff intensity or something close to it in EVERY game.
Agreed. Having Dwight changes the spacing on both ends of the floors, changes the other teams inside game and gives us a much bigger defensive presence. Granted I like Capella, but he can't take the place of DMo, Jones and Howard all at once and by himself.
