lol at wanting a backup pf who can shoot defend and rebound LMAO.
A guy like that is at least a starter not to say a star. And you want him to backup DMO and trade him on the cheap for scraps. LOL

Screw you, Tie Loss-son. We don't need no tie and certainly don't need no loss.

From now on, he needs to work harder and call himself Victor Winson.

When Harden and Ty were on the court together, it was like free layups for the other team.

I think ppl who wanted Ty to start took Bev's defense for granted.

I'm pretty sure people already want Beverly to start. Lawson would be much better off the bench, playing along side his ex teamate Brewer

Thanks for the reply, really good post. You are right about both guys (Collison and Evans). That's why I put collisons name out there because his stock will be low, plus with the arrival of rondo I think he could be attainable at the right price.

You are also absolutely right about Evans, he only has one skill set. But he brings exactly what we need right now: rebounding. He is limited offensively and I have to admit I haven't checked his numbers on defense, but we could use his rebounding like hell.

Just think about all the second chance points denver got... He is a glass eater. I honestly think we need to sign someone like Evans as soon as possible, he doesn't tick all the boxes like you said, but we can't rebound. Jones is a poor rebounder, Capela isn't quite ready to shoulder the load, and Harrell is more of a hustle guy, he's not a great rebounder either (but I believe he is worth keeping around, showed a lot last night).

I mean Beverley had more rebounds than Capela, Jones and Harrell... I think you and I both agree we need to get a big man that can just hit the boards and get garbage buckets. We have no one right now. It killed us last night, I don't want to think about how many second chance points the dubs will get...

Now I know why Denver got rid of him, man that kid Mudiay can play! I don't think Ty is that bad though. Still, I think Beverley starting will happen if we continue to lose.

even Ariza looked bad on defence. You can play good defence and other teams still hit shots

Lawson is JEREMY LIN WITHOUT THE TURNOVERS.

Lawson is better than Jeremy Lin in every aspect of the game even without taking into account the turnovers. Lawson also has a much higher Bball IQ, is not a mental midget and doesn't make boneheaded plays unlike Jerry

Rebounding is a huge, huge key for this team. Especially if we don't get any better 3-point shooters. That's why our 4 spot is so key. We have to get either great 3-point shooting or great rebounding and plausible defense from that spot. Reggie Evans would have been a difference maker last night, no doubt about it. But a lot of posters on this board ain't going to see that.

Jeremy's "bone-headed" plays are directly accounted for in his turnover count. Take away his turnovers and compare the 2 players. They are the same. They go to the hole strong, they dish, and they get fouled at a high rate. And neither guy can play defense worth a hoot. Sorry. Get used to it. Lawson is quite possibly the worst defender on the whole roster. At least bottom 3.

The big difference is Harden likes Lawson and he didn't like Lin. So him and Lawson will be able to work the offensive chemistry that lacked between Harden and Lin because Harden did not want to play with Lin. Yeah, I know you're gonna call bs. That's fine. I know better. Harden didn't like playing off the ball with Lin. He'd stand around when Lin was running up top. He's not going to do that with Lawson. He's going to cut and move. And create better passing angles for Lawson because he wants Lawson on the team.

But the defensive deficiencies with the two players is the same. People will be complaining all season when they are on the floor together. That's why we've got to shore up the interior defense or get picked apart. That's why it's of primary importance that we get a 3rd big that can shoot and defend. Because our bigs are going to have to cover a lot of territory and multiple players coming at them.

Complaining way too early and his lack of defensive ability is nothing new. Loss was not on him. The loss was on the entire team and poor shooting. Crazy to start a thread complaining about Lawson after 1 game.

He needs to come off the bench. Harden needs Bev and Lawson seems too passive and doesn't look to score.

Lawson needs to be the new Josh Smith.

I hate to be that guy but it's defenSe. "S" not "C"

I keep seeing the word defence. It's defense. Thanks.

    Carry on.

The main issue I had with Lawson was his passiveness on the offensive end last night and not taking wide open shots when he had them. With players like Harden and Lawson, good shooters need to be on the floor to give them room to operate and that's still a major flaw to this roster. The only decent shooter added to the roster in the off season in Thornton couldn't get a minute last night which was bad coaching by McHale, especially with all the bricks being shot last night. The biggest problem last night was the team looked like they wasted training camp/preseason and didn't really properly prepare for the season. They could easily build a major hole for themselves if they are not careful with the schedule they have to begin the season.
