Capela and Harrell had good games...that's something positive.

When we end up as like the 5th or 6th seed at the end of the year but only like 2 games behind the #2 seed we can look back at games like this.

I don't think I saw anything from anybody that I liked tonight. We came in with absolutely no preparation whatsoever and didn't take them seriously until like halfway through the 3rd when we realized that we were in deep ****.

You just can't afford to have games like this in the West this season. And this is why we have a right to be concerned after looking like ass all preseason. And this is also why you don't rest healthy guys in the preseason when you are trying to integrate a key piece like Lawson.

When you consider: 1) the talent level of this team, 2) the fact that it's opening night with no excuse for it to be a "trap game" and 3) the fact that the Nuggets are one of the worst players in the league who oh yea are missing two of their top players as well... this might be the most disappointing regular season loss I've seen in quite a long time.

McHale and the staff have no excuse, they've got to get these guys to play hard and take every team seriously, as well as develop a defensive game plan that doesn't suck, as it did tonight.

God I'm so ****ing pissed, our next few games are tough.

Well were they supposed to go 82 and 0 and never drop a game they were supposed to win?

Do you guys not remember we lost to the 6ers last year? We are going to lose a game to a bad team every now and then.

    McClaptalk:

They beat the hell out of us. Didn't react very well. We couldn't sustain energy.

They shot it better, moved it better, executed better, played harder than we did. Wasn't anything I could look at and say we did better than them.

We didn't play hard enough, tough enough, smart enough.

We have a lot of work to do. We'll have to work our way. We have no pace. We didn't play well, bottom line.

    No energy, no boost.

We played very poorly, we have to get better. Bigs didn't do anything we did or talked about in shoot around. No ball pressure, got in the paint, made threes, couldn't stay on Gallinari. They played better than we did. We did not play well. I'd like to tell you something other than that but we played poorly.

We had no movement, no attack, no pace, no speed. I can't think of anything that we did well.

We did not play up to a level that is remotely what we'll have to do if we want to be the team we want to be. Bad turnovers, bad passes, not a lot of stuff I can look to and is positive.

We did not play hard or with an edge. We didn't establish anything.

They had the lead the whole game and couldn't sustain anything.

We better worry about October & November. It's not like you'll just get everyone back in February and go 35-0. You gotta play well from the get go. Sure, it was one game but it was flat out bad effort from our team.

What the H**L are you talking about??

Dwight was injured most of the year and they did make it to the WCF!!!

The whole team sucked tonight and the biggest problem was points in the paint

Dwight didn't even play tonight - WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??!!!

I have no idea what you're talking about... Rockets should play like **** if they are missing players? No one is going to be completely healthy; you still have to execute.

No, but they sure as hell were 100% meant to come out in the first game of the season at home and beat a team which is sporting two rookies I believe in their starting line up - and a team which is considered to be the worst team in the league.

    SMDH man at your post.

We actually didn't lose to Philly last year. And no, nobody expects to go 82-0, but losses like this are inexcusable. Obviously no reason to panic or jump ship, but if people are pissed, I say they have every right to be. Pathetic performance from start to finish.

The good news is I cannot fathom a worse loss happening for the rest of the season. There is simply no way the Rockets could have played any worse. Can only go up from here.

Yes. We got to worry about November. Because this is the West.

you mean like mj or lebron kinda all time great? i am not so sure about that on curry ,,, just yet. i need a bit more time to convince myself.

but harden,,, i've said it from the very beginning when morey acquired him 3 yrs ago,,, he's a great maybe perfect #2 guy on a championship contending team. if he's relied upon as an alpha, that team's hope to a ring is very little to zero. this is nothing personal. some of it has to do with his ball skillz, some is his personality.

i hope i am wrong, though. only time will tell.

Yeah, I think Curry is an all time great - where he fits with Lebron and MJ, dunno, less than them, but he has a lot of time to get better.

I just thing Curry is the best player in the game, regardless of what Lebron says.
