Did they have anyone else left? Royals are clutch, and to think we could have been there if not fr will Harris.
Will Harris can sleep better at night knowing he was just a victim of an amazing Royals team. That was Familia's 1st blown save since July 30th. They look like a championship team to me after Game 1.
Yes. They are a good team and it was no embarrassment for the Astros to lose to them, even blowing the 4 run lead.
When things go wrong, lots of people act like the other team wasn't trying at all, that it's just all the fault of the team that lost. Sometimes you do your best and still get beat, sometimes things just don't break your way, sometimes it rains. That's sports (and life). Get up, dust your **** off, and try it again.
It took a historic pitching performance from Bumgarner to beat the Royals last year. What did the Royals do in the offseason? They replaced a bad postseason pitcher ace pitcher with Volquez while adding a couple of bats in the line-up adding to already suffocating bullpen. Then they added Cueto at the deadline. Most complete team in baseball. The fact that the Astros went up 2-1 against this Royals team was an achievement in of itself. I hope Luhnow follows their same blueprint this offseason.
It's teams like the Royals where I question if the Astros getting one reliever in free agency enough. I would say no.
