we played D as if we had a huge hole in the middle, like we were missing someone? hmmm.
it's just one game out of 82.

on denver, he has been injured so much that i had forgotten what a nice player galli is.

They started off great last year though and sustained it pretty much the entire season. They didn't lose 3 in a row til the WCF for chrissakes! That's an unbelievable achievement right there. This team could lose 3 in a row to start the year based on their next 2 opponents. And it wasn't like last year's Rockets were abundantly talented at the beginning of the season. They were relying on the likes of Tarik Black, Nick Johnson, and Francisco Garcia to win them games in that 19-5 start.

So basically...you look at your Twitter feed and judge his entire offseason off of TMZ reports? If the media reported that Harden was in the gym 24/7, do you really think it would mean Harden had no life outside of that?

Also...are you really that petty where you think Harden should only be playing basketball, and nothing else in his life? You really think Harden is the only one who likes to enjoy himself outside of basketball?

    Laughable

    Rocket's look terrible.

No ball movement, no movement on offense. Everyone stands around and waits for the kick-out. It's the same story as pre-season.

You watch the Spurs or Warriors and there is constant movement. This is probably a result of coaching.

Even when we do move the ball, the passes are wild and off target.

Corey Brewer has never been a good shooter, which is why he was left open. I'm sure Denver knew this.

We have GS, Miami and OKC next. Watch us lose all 3 of them. You can't lose games like this. There are no excuses. This Denver team will be lucky to win 40 games.

We went 8-35 from the three point line, and some on here would argue you down that that's the most efficient shot in the game.

Yeah but can he really play like he said, playoff mode throughout the season. Rockets still need to get a PF ASAP.

That's a valid excuse for barely beating the shorthanded Nuggets at home by 5 points. Not for losing in an asswhooping by 20.

Meh. A team got hot. Rockets were extremely cold. It happens.

Not surprised to see people already calling for doom though although it's funny.

We better win both against GSW and OKC (not just ONE of those) or this loss at HOME against Denver will be costly.......pathetic showing on opening night!!

I still don't like what the NBA has become. I like the good old days when the game was really inside first then outside.

I'll say it again - one of our biggest problems is Harden's complete disinterest in playing off the ball. When the ball is out of his hands, he's invariably standing five feet outside the 3 point line. He doesn't cut to the basket nor does he move on the perimeter to help facilitate passing. Don't get me started on his inability to run a proper fast break or his lack of defense.

James has elite talent and it took us a long way last season. But there are many players of equal talent, and the ones who win championships put as much effort into the team game as they do their individual games. James is flirting with becoming a Dominique Wilkins, an Allen Iverson or a Carmelo Anthony. These guys insisted on dominating the ball and they didn't win anything. I don't want to see the same happen to James - especially while he's a Rocket.

There are a lot of valid criticisms for this game, but personally, i'm gonna chalk up losing by 20 to a brand-new-put-together Nuggets squad to s*** happens.
Hopefully we get our team healthy and the guys get a chance to start feeling each other out better with more practices etc.

I know right.. It's one freaking game and fools on here are acting like we just lost in the playoffs. Sure we looked like **** tonight but, I'm not worried at all.
