Heard a Kasich interview this morning where he was playing the "I'm not one of the crazy ones" card. Wonder how far that'll get him.

LOL... I reckon I should have included excerpts.

    Here's the short summary:

She embellished past stories about accompanying a "friend" to an abortion clinic by adding "Planned Parenthood", which hadn't been part of past interviews or included in two books she has written. Then interviews with current and past campaign operatives, one who said "yea, she talked about I think" and the other "never heard her say this".

Since she has dropped to almost negative numbers in polling it won't make a difference either way... folks know she is dishonest but I am guessing she is trying to win a few more far right votes away from Ben Carson.

Isn't it a safe bet that the abortion clinic she visited was a Planned Parenthood clinic? I don't see how it's matters much.

If the Republicans weren't so stupid, it would probably get him elected President.

I will freely admit that I will take every opportunity to slam Carly... a candidate I would put alongside Palin in terms of incompetence and integrity (lack of). I am sure one of her campaign strategists came up with the idea of connecting her past attack on PP with her "personal story."

Fortunately the voting public saw through her and her campaign...

ummmm...no. Palin is a special kind of crazy. Other than gender, there's no comparison between the two.

She is doubling down on nutty, not unlike other GOP candidates. But she is intelligent and accomplished. Just hiding it well.

Well, he happens to be right. Kasich is one of the few Republican candidates that comes across as pretty reasonable and someone that understands governing.

I agree that Palin inhabits another planet than Fiorina, and yes, Fiorina is accomplished. Her problem is that she ran up against the Peter Principal (her level of incompetency) when she took the HP job, which was a disaster for HP, in my humble opinion. The idea that she's competent to be president is ludicrous. Compared to Hillary, Fiorina is a high school volleyball coach who has yet to come close to a title.

Her tenure at HP is fair game.

Not sure why women candidates have to be compared to other women candidates (or PTA presidents, or volleyball coaches :)).

Her latest rants are rivaling Dr Carson's (who is someone who should also know better). These are apparently very smart people saying very dumb things. Palin just said dumb things.

Get your point, but since Hillary will likely be the nominee, I couldn't help myself! :-D-

Understanding Ted Cruz’s Jedi Debate Skills
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/10/30/understanding-ted-cruz-s-jedi-debate-skills.html

The strategy he used is called running a kritik. Depending on what style of debate you’re doing and what league you’re in, kritiks can operate in a host of ways. The basic gist, though, is this: A kritik is an a priori argument, which means it has to be addressed before either side of the debate can move on to talk about anything else. The term “kritik” didn’t come into the common debate lexicon until the 90’s—long after Cruz’s days as a parliamentary debate champion were over. But the strategy existed and was fairly common during his time in academic debate.

So, let me take a wild guess: Cruz and FauxNewz think the Budget deal stinks and is actually the beginning of the apocalypse.

Since you posted this in a "Candidates" thread, what about his latest repeated schtick makes him a superior or inferior candidate, in your opinion? Or did you just like the production value of the video?
