7th in 2011. Loss to Southern Miss in conference title game. Would have played Michigan in the sugar bowl
Vandy line opened with UH -14, then it bumped up to -14.5, then it got reduced way down to -10.5 and in some places is off the board completely. I see no injury reports and early returns aren't in yet on total bets. What is going on? It's either 1) big wagers are jumping inflated line bc there's money to be made going against the UH hype. Vandy is athletic on D and doing well ATS this season. or 2) big money is lowering the line intentionally so that the syndicates can jump back on top to cover once it's bet down enough.
They better not look past Vandy, or they're going to get beat. I hope it doesn't rain, because if it does it will negate our biggest strength (speed).
Thinking about hitting the Memphis game. What are some of the good sections to sit at the stadium? What are some to avoid? Any other tips/info would be appreciated as well.
Any seat in the stadium is a good view, but those bleachers will hurt your butt after 10 mins. I think the end zone upper deck is supposed be family friendly if you're looking for that.
Might have a little to due with weather forecast (we will struggle on a sloppy field vs. Vandy's size)/Farrow going through protocol/and where the money is coming in.
Real question: If UH goes undefeated and wins their conference, do they get a playoff spot? My guess is, not a chance. They would get a good bowl game though but I have a feeling they would get smacked by a powerhouse.
I would doubt it, there would need to be several 2 loss teams at the top for us to have a chance at that.
It would be very difficult IMO. If Temple beats ND, it could help a little though. That's why there should be an 8 team playoff instead of 4.
Reminds me of that Onion article from 2011. "Houston scrambling to find ways to become more undefeated before BCS selections."
