McNair already got his money for those tickets though, which means it'll be our 576th consecutive sell-out!!
You really think this defense is capable of holding ANY offense to 3 points? Or did you mean 3 touchdowns? Maybe 3 touchdowns per quarter...

I'm pretty sure you could roll Alabama out there and they wouldn't get trounced 41-0 in the first half so maybe BoB is onto something.
Or you could take that the other way and realize that a well coached Alabama squad wouldn't go down 41-0 at half so it just shows how poorly BOB has coached his team.
Yeah but effort/terrible angles/lack of tackling are all pretty good indicators of bad coaching. You had just about the same players last year and the effort was there, the angles were better, and the tackling was better. What happened? IMO the players stopped buying what the coaches were selling and in the NFL that can be the difference between a good defense and a terrible defense. Do you think the players are happy seeing 3 or 4 guys rush into 6 or 7 guys, get no pressure and still have the secondary get burned? I doubt it. When your advantage is the front 7 and you rarely blitz to take advantage of that, you get a pissed off defense.
We could go in circles all day playing the blame game...the fact is the coaching sucks, the players suck and the the remaining qb isn't any good but better than that godawful turd that the team finally released.
I still don't think he's even that good, but it doesn't matter. There's no QB now, nor was there any QB ever on the roster this year that should be around next year except maybe Savage if you want to give him a chance. The rest of the season should be hilarious though.

Everything about this franchise sucks right now. Meaningless wins against other sorry teams is probably the worst thing that can happen. You can already see the spin, if we get to 5 or 6 wins there won't be much change in the off season because we are "headed in the right direction" and they only missed the playoffs by 2 games. Being truly terrible is the best case scenario.
If, after winning 9 games last year, they think 5-6 wins is "headed in the right direction"... I don't think the team is *that* stupid. They have nine games to turn it around; if they don't, heads are going to roll. McNair. in a very limited time, has acted rather swiftly when it came to making changes.
