I'm pissed that Rick Smith didn't send BOB with him. When you vouch for someone and it blows up this badly AND you are terrible at your job.....why do you still have that job?
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Someone already edited Ryan Mallett's Wiki... ha! <a href="https://t.co/buP7axsfvp">pic.twitter.com/buP7axsfvp</a></p>— Doug Delony (@DougDelonyKHOU) <a href="https://twitter.com/DougDelonyKHOU/status/659062604523053057">October 27, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
That's true, which is why I'd have a pink slip for him as well. Rick Smith is the one who hired the absolute disaster that has been Bill O'Brien. That's not a mistake a GM should be able to keep his job after.
F$&K the Cowboys! "No interest in troubled players from other teams"? For a team that signed Hardy they need to shut their piehole.
Are you kidding? I'm sure the players were pissed at Mallett for failing to care enough. I'd be willing to bet the players give zero ****s for Mallett.
Bobby's only recourse is to blame BOB for Mallet's sorriness and to attack you. That's his pathetic way of dodging Mallet being a loser. He just can't bring himself to admit Mallet royally messed up, which is the issue here. Bobby, there is nothing wrong with being wrong. The problem is being too stubborn to admit it.
Not in Bobby's alternate universe. Over there, Mallet is the alpha the other players love and follow.
Go back and watch the game over again, you'll see guys like Nuk coming over and talking with Mallett during the game as Hoyer continued to suck it up and the defense continued to get blown out....and they didn't look mad at him.
"Tim is a good teammate who works hard at getting better every day while working hard." Sounds like a Billy O'Brien player! Sign him up Billy!
Not really relevant to your point but Mallett seemed to target Hopkins more than Hoyer did. I haven't looked at the numbers but the only time Washington got a lot of catches was with Hoyer at QB.
In all seriousness, he has a 9-7 record as a starter and looked decent during preseason. What good reason is there for not bringing him in?
Errr, I do believe that McNair had final say so in who was to be his next head coach. And this isn't the "disaster" of which you speak. This team should still end up winning in the neighborhood of 8 games or so. A disaster would be another 2-14 season and I just don't foresee that happening this year.
