    I had no idea.

Can you imagine the frothing at the mouth from the birthers if there was a story like this with Obama?

I think if the "liberal media" had any balls like Faux News, the headline would scream "$6.8 MILLION* LOAN CONSIDERED "SMALL" BY TRUMP!!"

    * $1 million in 1968 after adjusting for inflation.

Imagine the head explosions and pontificating if Obama ran for president with a pregnant, unmarried teenage daughter like Bristol Palin.

Admits to trying to stab a guy...

Commodore acts as if this a normal thing to say.

    For anyone.

Not just someone running for president.

Unfortunately, as a doctor-to-be, Ben Carson was trying to stab someone with a vaccination needle. That's way worse than a knife, coz vaccinations are a government plot to inject gay Muslim blood into everyone.

Not growing up in inner city Detroit surrounded by violence as a kid, I couldn't speak to how a normal person would act in those circumstances.

Christianity is steeped in notions of redemption and forgiveness. Carson's appeal is no mystery.

Wow, this post would go great in that Henson thread about whether or not African-Americans are affected by the environment into which they were born. Obviously, they are.

As someone noted earlier, the Christian element about Carson that touches me is how he would be willing to let his son drown if evolution were true. The man lives by his principles! I wonder what he would let happen to America if evolution were true.

If Clutchfans had a refrigerator, I'd tape Commodore's tacit admission that environmental factors do play a role in a person's development to its side.

So let me get this straight. The current leaders for the Republican nomination are a legendary egomaniac who talks like a fourth grader while grossly simplifying everything and a guy who could be crazy but at a minimum has some bizarre beliefs and does not understand issues or government? Not to mention the increasing division between the base and the establishment. Meanwhile, the rhetoric of other candidates has to get more strident just to be heard over Trump and Carson and the establishment non-candidates in Congress are about to sell out the base over debt ceiling and budget while the candidates will whine about not driving the country over a cliff.

Who could have seen this coming? Oh right, everyone over the last five decades who recognized the Republicans were playing with fire by intentionally increasing outrage in the base for a variety of cultural and made-up issues so they would vote a certain way. Now, they are not voting that certain way, but are legitimately upset that years of increasingly ratcheted-up faux outrage isn't being acted on by the establishment they put in power. What hath Nixon and Reagan and Atwater and Rove wrought?

As a Dem, One would think I would be happy watching this train wreck, but it just scares the hell out of me.

Carson is just emulating his role model Dick Cheney. He just couldn't afford a shotgun at the time.

The more idiotic you act, the more your poll numbers rise.

The Republican party is completely broken.

    Burn it down.
