That's terrible the mid 2000's video quality is worse than the 60s and 70's. Why is that? It's not just this video but a lot on youtube.
the wild part is you can't see a difference between Duncan's first bucket and anything he does today. Same post moves, same demeanor.... what a legend. has any big man been this good for this long outside of Kareem?
Of course MJ ignored a big guy with solid post position and went one on three! Kobe with the ill-advised 25 footer  Hakeem stat paddin' What an entrance for Blake Griffin and Patrick Ewing though! That'll get rid of the nerves real quick. It's interesting to note how unorthodox a lot of the shots look in the earlier years. Not much style to them, just getting them up when there's an inch of space.
Karl Malone was getting over 20 and 8 at 39 years old and was the reason for the Lakers falling apart against the Pistons 2004 after Karl Malone went down for good at 40. Probably still could have had 20 and 8 at 40 if he didn't play with Shaq and Kobe. Amazing physical specimen, terrible human being. Robert Parish was a double double guy til he was 37, and then still produced good #s til he was 40. Retired at 43.
I think most archived footage from 60s 70s comes directly from the film room, while mid 2000's might be the time where people started capturing direct from TV using capture cards. Not entirely sure.
The last points are so much sweeter to remember. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1drJBPvIpUA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> If only we had that for DR34M
Could be true. On another similar topic. I was on Youtube asking why the quality of Shaq highlights from LSU and Orlando days are 10X better than his pre 2000 Lakers days and someone responded right away that their cameraman was really bad, knew him by name too, so i guess i wasn't the only one noticing pre 2k Lakers highlights are awful video quality and filmed very amateurish. Most of the time the camera didn't even follow the player properly. Like it was some really old man who didn't have the reaction time to follow along.
Exactly my thoughts, it looked like he was paying homage. There was a lot of personality to the rest of these guys careers based on their first baskets. Dirk then looked like Dirk now. Barkley had that low post power. Etc etc. Great video for basketball lovers.
Harden with a long jumper just inside the 3p line:grin:. I remember that basket by Griffin, After that year of injury I was curious to see how he would play.
