Even if this is the case, it is going to take 3-5 years to put together a roster that can win. We are essentially starting over from scratch. Maybe 4 or 5 of our players could start for other teams. We need to trade Watt, release our vets (Glass Foster and Gimp legged Cushing) and try picking up players that are 23 years old or less. We have to prepare for the future.

Not time for those type of changes.

Rick Smith is swinging around a bigger D in the front office than I thought he was.

The problem is that BOB seems to deal with every situation like...

So can we stop pretending that the general manager has no say over personnel now?

Mallett will be cut tomorrow.... and if Smith keeps leaking useless gossip to the media, he might as well go with him.

TBH, its become a parody of itself now. Whoever is "leaking" stories to BTS about divides between the coach and GM, and all these shenanigans over Ryan Mallett, is a reflection that there's no real leadership in the front office right now.

A neutered GM... a hot-head coach... and no control over what gets said to the media... its just comical.

The reason Mallett is a problem is becuase there's no competent leadership in the coaching staff. It's just comical.

Great thoughts! You're absolutely right. This is what your franchise has come to, Bob.

Which is why if push really comes to shove, and one has to go, McNair has to side with the coach.

You get rid of O'brien less than 2 years in, while again keeping Rick Smith... and you can pretty much forget about any reasonable-minded coach ever wanting to work in this sort of set up....ever.

Nah, he's 27 years old... he's still an idiot.

But good try... and please stop defending that loser.

I would also like a young hot shot GM not Brian Gaine although I read that he has a good relationship with BOB. I just don't want another kubiak and smith situation.

Bobby, you just can't stop arguing your point. Give it up and move on. Believe me, manic repetition doesn't help your cause. Are you psychotic? Do you still wonder why most people here think you are a joke?

Mallett is a problem because he's a mutton-head. It's who he is. Part of his character. It didn't start in Houston and won't end when he leaves. Blaming his personality issues on the Texans is just juvenile. But maybe you've actually been in Mallet's head and know something the rest of us don't.

If Hoyer was acting a fool you'd be peeing on him like everyone else. But since you sided with Mallett from the start, you just can't walk the path of admitting he's worthless garbage because you'd have to admit to being dead wrong.

The point is that BOB is the one who vouched for him. He's the one that had worked with him before. He knew him and he caused this situation here. It's pretty clear that BOB is over his head with this job and needs to go back to college.

If it was Hoyer acting like an idiot, guess who vouched for him?

This isn't a Hoyer vs Mallett thing, this is about a totally incompetent head coach who managed to completely lose the locker room in less than 2 years with a series of stupid moves and a ridiculous approach to coaching at the NFL level.

That's probably hard for you to comprehend, so I'll give you time to figure it all out.

That's false…you repeatedly mentioned that Mallett is the better QB and that Hoyer should only start if the Texans want to tank.

You just can't let go of the fact that you were wrong in siding with Mallett over Hoyer.

It's okay, we all make mistakes. I thought OB was going to turn this franchise around and at this point, I don't think you could **** up any worse than he has.

Mallett being the better QB is irrelevant, neither QB should be here next year. I know you want to think that I was wrong about Mallett vs Hoyer, and that's fine, but it won't make it the case. Hoyer is next level awful when he's not in garbage time or against the Jags.

Anyway, try to keep up with what the conversation is actually about. It's about this franchise needing to clean house. BOB needs to be gone, RAC needs to be gone, Rick Smith needs to be gone, every QB on the roster needs to be gone.

As opposed to Mallett being garbage regardless of competition?

You keep saying this about Hoyer.

If Mallett had performed well against the Bucs, you'd maybe have a case for yourself.
