No, obviously. We had a great record against the Bulls during that time period and could have taken them in the finals. Every championship run involves some level of luck, but in the end every championship is earned.
Ask MadMax if it was Luck going against MJ. Vernon used to lock his ares up 2 times a year. Luck sounds like a Chinese restaurant, and has absolutely nothing to do with Clutch City!
I guess it is about time to revisit (again for the 900 thousandth) this dumpster fire of a question...though I question the timing with the off season almost over and real games about to begin. The fact is we will never know. We know Vernon Maxwell gave Jordan fits, at least in regular season games. We know that the Seattle Supersonics posed a matchup nightmare for the Rockets. There doesn't seem to be any reason to assume Jordan would have lead the Bulls to beat the Rockets in 94. The Bulls had absolutely no answer for Hakeem. It would have been an amazing series, and less plodding than the Knicks series, which was probably a little "ugly" for neutral fans. As far as 95 goes, only the most deranged of Jordan jockers whine for the Asterisk. He played the meaningful part of the season and looked like himself. The Bulls went down fair and square with MJ playing. No shame in that. And the poostorm begins.
It's sports. Of course it's LUCK. Every title in every team sport has elements of luck. Find me a champion that had no "luck".
No, it was not luck because every other team was advantaged the same way by there being no MJ, plus the team went back to back. It isn't like the Warriors situation where the luck other than Durant being hurt only helped them. If the Rockets were the only team that didn't have to deal with Jordan then it would be luck. Plus every other Champion before or after the Jordan era should be considered lucky Jordan wasn't younger or didn't play for longer. The Houston won because of luck is just a dumb opinion to have when you consider NO OTHER TEAM HAD TO PLAY AGAINST MJ EITHER!
The issue with the term is simple: People equate luck in sports as something negative and detrimental, when in actuality, you NEED luck.
Are the rockets really a top 4 team? What if the rockets had met the clippers in the first round. Who would win? There's talk that the clippers ran out of gas because of grueling series with the spurs and a lack of a bench. Time will tell.
so sorry to hear that. But, "lack of bench" is an organizational weakness. It's a reason for losing...not an excuse. Must suck being up 3-1 then choking to Clutch City. They should take solace in the fact that it has happened before.
Why do you bother responding to Lin fans about Clutch city? Lin fans are known to be dumb idiots and the absolute low lives and bottom of society amongst all fans. They have zero idea of what it takes to win since they're busy teabagging their loser idol.
