I wanna see the Texans admit their rebuilding and go all in now...or fire Rick Smith and the coaching staff tomorrow. Those are the only two acceptable outcomes after this game and season so far. Sadly we'll just hear more cliches about trying harder next game. Also I know it may not be fair to say since defenses are keying in on him more than ever and there's plenty of holes in this unit, but I'd like to see less of JJ Watt in the media (advertisements and otherwise) considering the relatively quiet season he's having. It seems a bit embarassing.
You're also on a message board posting about them... that sort of dedicated effort and attention goes a long way to maintaining interest in this team.
I've bought zero Texan tickets in my entire life. Bob could give two ****s about how many people post on a message board. It's about ticket sales and the Texans have freaking wait lists for such a ****ty franchise.
So? They still own the collective attention-span of this city, good or bad. In fact, this place is never more active than when they're bad.... you get mad at people "worshiping" football in this city, without realizing that you're actually contributing to the collective attention this team gets. Its not that hard to sell 70,000 tickets for 8 home games.... its harder to get people to become angry and go to the airwaves/message boards with each and every game.
