Looked it up, minor spoilers. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Star-Wars-Force-Awakens-Death-Star-Explained-88987.html Also at 1:50 in the new trailer.
I think its the ice planet that the new order has their base on. The "empire" wouldn't really be dumb enough to make a 3rd death star, would they? It would also be a very recycled plot device (unless this is the weapon that actually does work without any weaknesses... in that case, game over!).
Will this planet have a warp drive to move? Stationary it would seem incredibly impractical. But it being Star Wars and Disney, they'll work it out into something amazing.
Isn't there a massive Death Star in the back ground of the poster; with a wicked eye that looks like something outta that old Atari arcade game called Xevious? First thought after seeing it...
What's everyone's theory on Luke's absence? I don't think he is kylo or evil. I do think kylo may have been darth vader's secret apprentice. Either way I' hope I get shocked with something unexpected.
My boldest move would be to turn Jar Jar Binks into a mean sulking ( non talking ) bad ass light saber wielding Sith Lord. I would recommend their next Jedi have no medichlorian things either. It took away some of the mystery and scienced it. They need to get back to not knowing. Thought the trailer was very good. The challenge will be that their universe is so defined, with the whole two dark lord thing ect, how do they get away from that to deliver something fun and new and full of wonder. CGI was overkill for them a few times. So that won't help. They will need to stretch themselves a little but still tie into those things we like. I am hoping they pull it off.
Yesterday I went back and tried to watch the third prequel. What a bunch of garbage. Lol. Did not age well at all. Those droids are awful. Just awful. Horrible dialogue as well. It looks like the new movie will be a gigantic upgrade on those disasters.
Star Wars III is regarded as top 3 in the franchise by most people and I don't know what you mean with "didn't age well", it's relatively modern and the CGI is up to today's standards. And what droids do you mean?
Eh, I think Attack of the Clones is clearly the worst, it's the only one of the 6 I would consider bad. Boring movie, and the Anakin/Padme "romance" was often unwatchably bad. I personally enjoyed most of the Phantom Menace. If they had hired a better kid to play Anakin I would have put it ahead of Return of the Jedi. 1.Empire Strikes Back 2.A New Hope 3.Revenge of the Sith 4.Return of the Jedi 5.The Phantom Menace 6.Attack of the Clones
The opera house scene in III between Palpatine and Anakin was probably one of the better scenes in any of the 6 movies. Just watching Ian McDiarmid brilliantly portray Palpatine's transition into the Emperor made all 3 prequels watchable, IMO. Watching him physically turn into the Emperor while fighting Mace......actually scared the crap out of me.
The scene in episode 3 where Sidious is talking to Anakin after he had cut off Mace Windu's hand always makes me laugh. All these weird noises are going in the background, and they're clearly not coming from Sidious or Anakin cuz they are in the middle of saying something or have their mouths closed throughout. It sounds like someone vomiting themselves to death. BLEHHHHHH AUUUGGHHHHHH BLEGGGHHHHHH On and on throughout the scene. Hayden Christensen's terrible acting on top of those noises just makes it even better.
That's a guess, not a spoiler. And I think that as well. Although I think there is a chance both of them could be.
I'm thinking luke will be a yoda from empire strikes back type character. More of a mentor to the new Jedi's. He's probably living the same swamp.
