Not really. Memphis never gets games and they've had a lot more success than the Rockets over the past few years.

Memphis will be featured on national television 19 times this season (five on TNT, five on ESPN and nine on NBA TV), including the 14th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Game against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans on ESPN on Monday, Jan. 18 at 1:30 p.m. at FedExForum.

Ultimate embodiment of nepotism? Did he get that job because he's the relative or friend of the hiring manager? I think he got the job, because he's a popular sports figure in Houston who theoretically brings in more viewers due to his "brand". That's not nepotism.

    Yeah get off Clyde.

No way to talk about such a consummate professional.

Glad to see that. Doesn't change the fact that they've been grossly underrepresented in televised games for the past several years while being greatly successful though. I'm not sure why I have to convince Rockets fans of all people that media coverage is not always correlated with on-court success. This forum has forever complained about lack of national coverage. Heck, a while back someone was still pissed at SI for not giving us cover page for first championship.

The defensive nature of his board is pretty crazy.

Am I the only one who couldnt give a **** what he or Bill Simmons says? Theyre pretty much fans that somehow made it onto ESPN right?

Because Zach is one of the best, if not the best NBA writers and he's usually very on point. He never said anything hateful about Rockets, always valued Rockets the way Rockets should be valued. You should see jerks from here who constantly assault him on twitter for hating Rockets, which he doesn't. He's not biased, but Rockets so called fans keep trying to make him hate this team.

Anything that spews out of this dudes piehole, is just his opinion and nothing more. If you're a fan of the Rockets (and enjoy watching them) who cares if this dude doesn't enjoy watching them. Would you care if some food critic had negative things to say about your favorite restaurant? People who can think for themselves let this drivel go in one ear and out the other.

    "Homerism"?

How about people who just know what they like, in this case the Houston Rockets, and don't need to get this dudes stamp of approval. Again who gives a DAMN if this dude doesn't like watching the Rockets.

Who cares about what Clyde has to say. Is it going to make me stop watching them? HELL NO!!

Oh my god, Lowe doesn't like watching the Rockets, what am I going to do

I'm tired of Drexler and Bullard's schtick, too.
I'm not in love with the current uniforms either.
And sometimes a Houston game devolves into a contest of free throws, which is not terribly exciting to watch.

But hey if the team is clicking and winning, I don't give a fart.

Worrell is whiny and a homer. Clyde is just bad.

Oh my god, the shark doesn't like what Lowe wrote, what am I going to do  If you really didn't care what Lowe thinks you wouldn't read anything that goes after Zach Lowe:
You guys are really driving me crazy every time calling someone a Houston hater just because they have something negative to say.
Rockets is the best team in the NBA, they will win 82 games in regular season and 16-0 in the playoffs. Rockets have top 15 players in the league, best announcers in the world and most beautiful arena in the galaxy! yaaay

Isn't that what every sports media person is in one form or another?

Does anyone have highlights of the cast last season when Calvin Murphy reunited with Bill Worrell?

That's the broadcast team the Rockets need, once again.

Hey idiot, just because I could care less what his thoughts are about the Rockets, and how "enjoyable" they are to watch, doesn't mean he's now a Rocket hater. The man is entitled to his opinion, and AGAIN, whatever spews out of his mouth isn't going to sway me one way or another.

Clyde is far and away the worst color commentator in the NBA.

The way he mails it in and draws a check only annoys the viewer more.

If you ever go to a home game, watch him. Bill/Bullard are going through notes about the game and getting prepared. Clyde shows up a few minutes before broadcast and just chills out.
