Happy Kevin Smith lost weight. Looked really unhealthy last time I saw him.

Morgan's trying to keep his morals - just like Glenn. The show needs those characters to try and keep the group grounded.

I am probably over thinking this but what did the group think they would accomplish by coming in and killing the folks in Alexandria and they don't even have any guns. I was going back and forth with another show so maybe I missed something but their plan seemed stupid. Carol was awesome

Spoilers for the rest of the season. This is just my opinion.

The wolves were based off of a group of guys who tried to attack Rick and company. It was a brief part in the comic book series and it was only one issue in the series.

I expect the following things to happen moving forward for season 6:

The remaining 6 episodes before the mid-season will be about the herd that's coming to the town. I expect Carl to get hurt like he did in the comic book. I think at the mid-season episode, we will see Jesus appear leaving the remaining 8 episodes with them meeting the other communities.

We need a major character like Glenn to die this season. They need to have a death that can push forward this group and set the stage for Negan. I hope Jon Hamm does get the role as Negan.

Morgan lost his mind and was violent previously. He's a rare example of a character that went from one end of the spectrum to the other. He wasn't a pacifist when he tried to kill Rick a few seasons back.

He rather risk being chop to death than being protected. Pretty irrational nonsense

He had a tummy tuck, I'm sure; his face looked taunt too like he had a lift. Good bc as you said he was getting very very large!

Pretty good episode. My only gripe would be how Morgan literally seemed to fly over to their homebase from last episode while for some reason the other people were just taking their sweet time. Maybe it will be explained in the next episode what the rest of the group was out doing, but for now it seems like a plot convenience in order to play someone against Carol in the aftermath of the attack.

Major Spoilers for those who haven't read any of the comics so beware-

-I liked the foreshadowing with the Milf (forget her name in the comics and show) holding onto her kids arm. I'm expecting that if they give her the death she gets in the comics it will be maybe the most gruesome act that anyone from the group has had to commit with justifiable reasons.

-More hints about Morgan's staff training that leads me to believe they will use that as a way to introduce the Jesus character from the comics as he'd most likely be the one that Morgan previously ran into.

-They seem to be following along with the "No Way Out" storyline pretty close with some minor changes (the Wolves in the comics aren't called the Wolves, but pretty much do the same thing. They die pretty quick once they attack. The walkers just come from the gun-shots. The whole Walker-movement plan is just manufactured for the show, and IMO makes more sense then the comic).

-I don't know any spoilers from the production spills, but I'm assuming the Hilltop community will be introduced maybe by the halfway point of this season, and we might be moving forward quickly after the aftermath of this zombie attack this next week that might drag out another episode at the most. They obviously don't have the budget to do a three week mega attack.

They don't it? This show seems to be breaking a new record every time it airs and every commercial that airs during the time slot looks like it's shot by Michael Mann.

Well they didn't apparently have the budget to shoot DC/Alexandria as actual DC/Alexandria and instead are trying to fool everyone into thinking they are anywhere other than rural Georgia. I've been to DC quite a bit over the past 10 years and have drove through Alexandria before on my way back down to Virginia. If that's anywhere close to DC I sure as hell have never seen it. Would it kill them to at least throw up a damn green screen every once in awhile to at least not insult our intelligence?

Nit picky I know but still I can't get over it every time they call that town Alexandria, and all last season when they were apparently "so close" to DC. It takes away from the show and they should have just made up fictitious names and places. Game of Thrones does alot with a little green screen here, interior set there. Hell I think the American's has about 1/10 the budget TWD does and does a good job of world building, and scope. TWD doesn't even try in this respect. Ok. Rant over. Its still a decent show, but it could be better IMO.

I just rewatched the end of e01. Rick had already sent Morgan back to camp to give status report that the plan was in motion, instead of a dry run. Morgan had a headstart.

He was there when that Ethan Embry character got bit, and it was literally seconds later when the horn blew. Unless the group stayed for some crazy reason, he should only be minutes behind. I guess we will find out next episode what the group did to divert the walkers, or fight them right then and there which seems like suicide. I dunno but I guess next week with either make sense or make the writers look a bit lazy.

I don't see how you can say that. The horn did not blow in the same scene. I know the ep was not in constant time, but saying "seconds" later is speculation. All he needed was about a 5 minute head start.

And Morgan was definitely sent back to warn the camp that the walker plan was in motion.

You seem to want to stick to your idea that Morgan making it back first was not possible, whereas ep01 did in fact explain it.

I think Rick is running around blowing a whistle in the next episode to draw the walkers back. He looked winded in the preview. ;)

What.... I'm just trying to make sense of the fact that Morgan was standing right next to Rick and Michonne after Ethan Embry got bit and put down by Rick, then he said something like "I understand how it has to be" to Michonne, and then just like that the horn blows.

The second episode starts assuming back 10 minutes or so before the horn blows, some dudes come in and start slashing throats, the guy in the clock tower shoots the truck and the horn blows. A short time later Morgan puts the guy down in the truck and turns off the horn.

I'm just trying to get my head around this timeline cause if its all happening simultaneously with episode 2 only a short time before episode 1, shouldn't Rick and the group be right there with Morgan unless they stayed there or ran away from Alexandria?

I'm assuming that they had to run in another direction to divert the massive herd and Morgan alone went to Alexandria to stop the horn/warn everyone/etc. That's the only explanation that would make sense in the timeline the show presented. Again... its nit picking to death, but its something that was distracting to me when watching the episode especially towards the end.

I just rewatched it. That's not how it happens. Morgan has already left.

The horn stopped soon after the start of the attack. I can see Rick and co deciding to divert the zombies group away again. Perhaps they split and some head back to investigate.

i think they are just cray-cray. charles manson family types who enjoy killing for the sake of killing. they were not really into robbing and pillaging...it just seemed to be about killing people. like that dude with the ax who just kept hacking away at the obviously already dead person.
