there would be no talk about tjones if we would grab more rebounds and defend better if his offense is not there. But he's streaky in his overall game. His pumpfake to the basket is like a matt schaub bootleg throw, very predictable. He's a good player in regular season games but in the playoffs ur facing zbo, blake,or a lamarcus aldridge. We need our 4 and 5 to be effective around the basket.

Explain how the supply demand could possible be mistaken.
    A) The number of available free agents to sign is not an enigma or something TBD. The contracts are guaranteed and which quality player hits the market is already known. There is no way that CP3, Griffin, LMA, Westbrook, Ibaka, Harden, Lillard, AD, Irving, etc the stars or true max players will be free agents next year out of the blue.
The players who have player options are also already known and taken into account to see what the supply will be. Derozan has a player option and it's known i.e.
    B) The number of cash the teams will have is also more or less determined. The players association didn't accept the owners proposal and now the cap rise will be abrupt and huge. And the estimations right now are moderate. See this season where it got more 3mil than estimated.

And if nothing else most of the so called analysts have been wrong in the other way this summer. They SEVERELY underestimated the contracts that would be given (Except for Afflalo) and they also were wrong about the length (thought that most would opt for smaller deals).
But good journalists and knowledgable fans were able to foresee most of what would happen.
    Listen to Zach Lowe.

As for the second part of your post we already have been through that. You think that a perfomance in a year like this with a chance at a championship is more valuable than the future of the team in assets.
It's a very respectable opinion because the chance to get a championship doesnt' come often and a team must do whatever it can to get one while it can.
BUT dont' underestimate the possibillity of losing the rfas. It's not just a scenario. It's hard reality.

Not to mention that the more a team does better and goes deeper in the playoffs the more coveted their free agents become. See TT see Barnes See D.Green. Esp a team that will be under immense pressure cap wise to retain them.

It's a bit much to ask a late mid first round pick to be on the level of ZBo, Blake, or LMA on a rookie contract in the playoffs.

Jones is more effective closer to the basket than DMo, DMo's game just looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing. They have two different games and make a great 1-2 punch on their rookie contracts.

TJones has had two great games, two so-so games and one bad game so far this preseason.

But it's preseason so can't draw any conclusions.

Terrence has had a very mediocre preseason. Remember, it's preseason. Even if teams are playing their starters, their starters are going about 50% of full speed. And Terrence has been mediocre.

3 regular seasons, 2 post seasons, 4 off seasons, 4 preseasons is enough to draw plenty of conclusions.

There's nothing to see here. Terrence is a pedestrian NBA baller. There's nothing that stands out about his game, his motor, his consistency, his basketball iq, his basketball skill set, his attitude, his character. Nothing stands out as a great positive. He's simply just another player.

For a fifth starter I will take TJ any day of the week.

You can't do that if you want to win a championship. He's not good enough to be the fifth starter on a championship team. Lottery team fifth starter? Yes. Not championship team fifth starter.

Sure isn't anything wrong with complimenting him when he does something positive. But there's something wrong if you cannot draw any conclusions about Terrence's career trajectory after 4 off seasons, 4 preseasons, 3 regular seasons, and 2 post seasons.

Let's talk about how we shouldn't talk about TJones.

He looked to be improving last year before injuries.

Can't draw conclusions based off this particular preseason if he is continuing that trajectory or not.

Bull****... He would easily win a championship were he on the Heat with Lebron and Wade 2010 or 2011

He's going to win one this year. Then the haters will be saying he isn't good enough to win two.
