Only if there was a weird group of fans talking up 23 year old Dickey Simpkins over Dennis Rodman. The Rockets have that weird little group of Terrence "Dickey Simpkins" Jones fans and that's why we get the dead horse threads over and over again. Give it a year and I think that'll take care of itself though.

    I would say Josh Smith.

I don't think TJ has "it".

You really should just never argue NBA history with me. Your agenda arguments are only going to get exposed by me, Mr Clutch and Clutch, and dozens of other posters.

Dickey Simpkins never started over Rodman in the 72-win season. Only Kukoc did. Only you would argue with PJax, just to sound smart.

You really need to stop, there is no one on here hyping him up like he's Dennis freaking Rodman.

You keep saying that I have an agenda, but you are the one fighting the good fight trying to sway opinion here, not me. I'm just saying what is pretty obvious to most, that Jones is a bench quality big, who could provide something valuable to the team in his role, but doesn't have a long future here because his contract is ending after this season.

I think your struggle to hype Jones is commendable, as most would have given up by now, but it's ultimately going to be a futile struggle.

Terrence Jones certainly started the run. Smith certainly kept it going, but anyone who denies Jones started that run needs to watch it again.

nope, nice try to deflect your agenda posting onto me. No one is buying that crap. Everyone on this bbs knows I'm not an agenda poster like you.

You are so cute, but you got to work on the predictable part of your arguments.

You got promise though. I look forward to the moment in this 60-win season whereby you just relax and enjoy the ride.

All I'm doing is stating the obvious, of course it is going to be predictable.

    Absolutely true.

And Clutch said this very same in his blog post the next day. Terrence Jones started the run at the end of the 3rd Q to lead the team into the end of quarter break and give them energy. And Coach stuck with what was working to destroy Blake and the Clips.

Only agenda posters forget what happened in that historical game.

If we were to start an agenda poll, you and Holic would be on the top of that list.

I mean, if they were right, it would be one thing.

I would like to think these posters just haven't watched enough basketball, or they have never played or coached on a team.

At this point, with all the bickering, I'd call it more of a deficit of character. You can put all the evidence in front of them and they're still going to believe something completely unfounded.

If the average fan started reading this thread from beginning to end, they might think the debate is Kobe/Shaq discussion.

Really, though, we're talking about TJ and DMo, 2 players who really haven't done a whole lot in either of their careers thus far.

I don't know why 3 posters are trying to polarize both players. Are they trying to divide the board? It's not happening. We've seen what Jeremy's fans were capable of. This isn't on the same level, but the usual suspects continue to take it there.

It would be a great discussion if it were as interesting as questioning who to start out of LaMarcus and Timmy. Shoot, even DaDa's epic Jordan Hill discussions were entertaining.

Again, this is TJ and DMo.

To their credit, they're developing but it's not that serious...yet. I'm not TJ apologist (what the hell?!) but Clutch was absolutely correct when he said TJ sparked our game 6 run.

    How soon we forget.

What do you gain by being a broken record? Repeating something over and over does not make it true.

You have an opinion like the rest of the BBS. Take yourself off of some delusional pedestal and get in the line for "TJ darts" and "DMo target practice." It's not new.

Why don't you enjoy having 2 serviceable PFs? Do you miss starting Chuck Hayes? I, for one, am happy that both of our 4s can score, even if both are imperfect and developing.

    Here's Clutch's blog.

And here's a screen shot of the statement about TJones, for those who don't want to click one of the most nostalgic blogs by Clutch that we are blessed to have witnessed....both the game and seeing Clutch so excited.

And that take is the definition of no agenda. With which we all agreed.

And because of that, they will never, ever enjoy a Rockets run as much as all the rest of us.

Poor souls probably didn't have the feels for what 99.99% of us felt during the Game 6 run. They think they did, but they can't really understand. That's their make-up, exposed by how they forgot so fast. It's actually sad.

That's just a strawman argument. I do enjoy Jones' good games and until someone steps up and shows they can take over his bench role, I'll be glad that he's there filling it. The only thing that is tiresome is those that would hype Jones into something that he is not and would dismiss any reasonable analysis of what he brings to the team and the likelihood of him being here past this season as "hate" or "agenda"

    ^ so true

I'm not so sure, "can't stand being wrong" is correct, vs he wants to be right so bad and tell people they are wrong.

    just to sound smart.
