Only small minds view a playoff, starter change-up where players still play the same minutes as a sign one player sucks vs the other. Are we supposed to say Josh Smith needed to get his head into the game, so Coach had to let him start, too?

give it up Bobbythegreat. You're cute and all, and a fun read, but you don't know how to spot talent as well as you think. See the Texans. lols

So, maybe Jones should be our 6th man instead of DMo. That doesn't mean anything wrt performance. That's all the "benching" in the LAC means, because Jones performed great in Game 5 and closed Game 6.

Jones still got the same minutes (more than Josh) and helped win the series in big fashion.

quit with the broken record to keep your agenda posting going. lame

The problem is that it is a pay time for Jones. The rockets can not keep him with a high salary with a low performance. We can not say we need another PF to support him, it is a time to be a real PF or move on soon.

Some of you guys will never be satisfied, yeah trade our most athletic ball handling big man for what exactly? Our team is deep. What exactly do you expect in return and where the hell are you going to get the minutes? The way I see it, when D Mo gets back we have one of the most versatile front courts in the league, why would you sacrifice one for the other when you can have both? Jones is athletic freak and has worked himself into quite a physical specimen, and you can already see Dream's tutelage implemented into his game with his post moves and the way he finishes at the rim. Everyone misses bunnies, Blake Griffin blew eight lay ups in game seven against the rox, should he be traded? Because at his highest potential Jones and Griffin have very similar games. He's not even in his prime and yoi guys want to get rid of him? I'm so very happy none of you work for the Rockets

Tjones is a very good back up. His game is better suited for the Eastern Conference. What drives me nuts is his damn pumpfake. He needs to just shoot the ball when its open.

an athletic freak, physical specimen...yeah, yeah that all sounds great. But T. Jones doesn't have the mentality to hold his own against other skillful bigs in the West. He gets destroyed! Physically and mentally. Granted not many people are going to shut down talents like Aldridge and Bl. Griffin, but AT LEAST make them work on the defensive end. Dominate when Harden gives you the ball. IF Jones played the way he does against weaker PF's (the Morris twins, Kenneth Farieds of the west) we wouldn't be debating the solution to our Power Forward problem.

its funny how people actually think he has only played well against "lesser" pf's. people are always going to want to only see what they want to see. another perfect example.

In the 14 games after coming back from his leg injury (but before his lung injury), he had some good games against some good teams:

vs. Clippers: 14 pts, 8 reb
    @ Nets: 26 pts, 12 reb
vs. Cavs: 19 pts, 7 reb
    @ Atlanta: 18 pts, 8 reb
vs. Memphis: 21 pts, 9 reb
vs. Detroit: 17 pts, 8 reb
    @ Portland: 17 pts, 12 reb
    @ Clippers: 16 pts, 12 reb

I mean, those are some good games against some good teams with good PF's. Blake Griffin x2, Tristan Thompson, Paul Millsap, Z-Bo, Greg Monroe, LaMarcus Aldridge.

Terrence isn't always the most consistent, but he can play.

But I thought he only plays well against weak competition.

D-MO produces at the same rate as Jones. He just makes it look better.

Its just amazing how the people that claim that Jones is only getting "garbage points" when he drops 28/10 in a regular season game are the same idiots on here trying to make a case that Jones should have been dominant in a PRESEASON game where he was really the only veteran player along with Corey Brewer against the world champs who were playing the first half like they were still in the finals. If he's a garbage player only, how the hell is he supposed to create for himself as drop 30 against the world champs by himself?

WTF do you people expect from this guy? The dude cannot win with the A holes on the rampage to destroy him.

Is he a role player that only lives off of teams doubling off of Dwight and Harden, or is he supposed to be Lebron James type talent but you are just trying to make a case that he lacks the fortitude to step up? Its has to be one or the other. It can't be whatever it is you want it to be in order to make a case against the guy... especially based off of a JOKE OF A PRESEASON GAME.

Geezus you people drive me insane.

All I want personally is for Jones to have a better Jumpshot. It's been proven he can't guard the bigs of the West already.

I just want him to look good off the bench to help the team as much as possible. I'm not expecting a whole lot, so I'll be happy with pretty much anything positive he brings.

Look at what kind of statement his coach sent him going into this game. The kind of statement that states pretty freaking loud and clear, that "This Game isn't One I Want To Happen, and I Don't Care". What kind of attitude, and how serious do you expect both Jones, and Brewer to be about this game where they have nothing to play for?

Last night was for the the kids trying to make the team like Joshua Smith, Livingston, etc. Jones and Brewer could wait long enough to get out of that game as I'm sure they did not want to be there to begin with and I certainly don't blame them.

So take your complaints to McHale & Morey, or to the NBA for creating games in the preseason that beg for players and coaches to not see a point in playing their guys in. Its much more fruitful to stay local, and practice for 4 days then spend 4 days traveling, getting out of shape in order to go to San Francisco and back, risking injuries for a quick meaningless scrimmage.

There's a reason Dmo is in the middle of the Billboard next to D12, Harden and Ariza and Tjones is not.:cool::grin:
