Monday's game hurts. But man, what's hell of a season. I'm going to lose a healthy sum of money this month (a friend and I made a bet, he's a cubbie), but I can't be too disappointed with our boys. Correa, altuve, Dallas, springer, rasmus?, and our minor league star (can't remember the name).... We've got a lot to look forward to. Next year is ours.
Clippers were a veteran team that should have known better. Astros it's their first time being here, the choke sucks though but at least we can say they are young and hope as a team they learn from it.
Its Kurkjian... you sound like a damn fool when you keep incoherently trying to type that quote over and over again, and the only consistent thing about it is you keep misspelling his name. There's no "idiot proofing" anything in baseball... if you want it to be pre-planned/deal-a-meal/robotic managing, you probably should root for them to bring back Dierker or the recently fired Matt Williams. Then again, not sure what else you'll contribute in here other than the "Get rid of Rasmus/Valbuena/Gattis/Hinch" brigade that you've been mentioning since July (I guess you were smart enough to stop mentioning getting rid of Rasmus, due to recent events... but it does add to your lack of credibility)
I am not. I think the Astros would have made it a very competitive series with a reasonable chance to win.
The bull pen needs to change!!! The Astros better not bring back the same team this year for next. I want Carter, Valbuena, Gattis gone.
...anyways...back to b****ing about the Texans QB situation....that will keep us all amused for several months to come
On the one hand, yeah, great season, looks like we have a bright future and we overachieved by making the playoffs. On the other hand, we had one of the biggest choke jobs in Houston sports history in game 4 and missed a great opportunity to get to the ALCS where anything can happen. There is no guarantee that we will be back next year. This series was over after game 4 anyway, this team is too young to have the mental fortitude to come back from that type of defeat.
I disagree, that lineup would had killed our bullpen. It would be the same as with Royals, losing leads and losing games.
Wow. I said I'll bet that's never happened before. I'd be surprised if it's happened more than 20 times in REGULAR season history. I'd say it was a good season, but game 4 ruined that. Gonna be a long offseason. Hope it's a productive one. It's tough being a Houston sports fan. Maybe we're cursed. Maybe karma will prevent a detestable, scumbag piece of human waste of an owner from ever seeing a championship. Maybe I won't sleep for a few nights. How is it possible that Jonny Cueto can't speak any English?
