Cueto had like 42 pitches to start the 3rd inning. He finished the 8th at 91 pitches... We are pushing too much! Let the pitcher work instead of swinging at everything. We are letting him get it easy by falling behind and swinging at the 1st pitch. This team's at bat philosophy needs to change.
can the hitting coach tell these guys to work the count, they are swinging like a solo home run will actually mean anything with a 2 run decifit
I wouldnt say that. If he makes that play in the outfield in game 4 the series may have been over, his play tonight falling down and allowing their first run and giving them life is another.
Cueto gets some credit here. He is hitting his spots and his pitches have great movement. Our guys should be showing more discipline but Cueto showed early in the game he was going to live in the strike zone, so the guys have been aggressive. Hasn't worked.
Davis traditionally has not been this good. It will all come apart in the 9th. the Astros are going to take their destiny right here.
