Correa has had a very good series I have no idea where you pull failure to show up with him. Springer had a good 1st couple games Altuve has been MIA. Either way around it, offense has not been a problem.... In this series. If the bullpen holds up either game 2 or 4 the series is over.
Yea, correa and Altuve and McHugh and Keuchel and springer and Rasmus and those guys, 1-10 huh, you are right, we should quit on them #uradumbass
You do realize you're using 4.5 game sample sizes... and excluding games within that sample size in some cases. Altuve has been the only measurable disappointment... the others have been difference-makers and directly responsible for wins (or near-wins).
I think we can all agree it is not over, but I also think we can agree the outlook at this point is not promising. My view is last game with the lead, Hinch got cute, thought the game was over and figured he would give his closers some rest looking ahead to the next series. So he trots out Harris, figuring that even if he gets roughed up, no way he gives up the lead. Before he knew it, 1 run in bases load and it just all got away very quickly. Should have managed that last game like it was the elimination game.
The bullpen has been the weak link of the Astros. You can't say "if the bullpen held up"…thats like me saying, "If Castro just had a couple long balls this series…". And I said, outside of game 4, Correa hasn't done anything, which is true. His error in Game 4 also cost us plenty.
