Didn't expect us to beat Yankees and we came out and showed the moment wasn't to big for them. Astros have been in control every game late. Plus club Astros only like to tear up away club houses!
Nah, you could move Rasmus to CF and put Tucker or Marwin in LF. I'd prefer this if we're pulling Gattis (vs. Tucker at DH)
This team has frustrated me at times especially in September but bottom line I love this team and I'm damn proud of this group of over achievers. No one would have thought they would have a season like this! I still believe they can win this tonight with McHugh on the mound.
What's this talk of not playing Gattis? Am I understanding you guus right (late to the conversation)? That's nonsense.
That's been what many have been yelling for. I'd prefer to keep him in the lineup (and wouldn't have pulled him before), but I can understand pulling him now given how he's continued to look in this series.
I'm all for patience but I can't stand the site of seeing him hit another slow roller to ss with men on base. At the very least, he should be hitting lower in the lineup. Maybe switch him and Carter. What I'd give to have Gattis and Carter be hot at the same time.
I think you keep him in considering his power hitting potential, and the simple fact that he's more seasoned than his replacements (not necessarily in the playoffs, though). If he catches fire, it could be dynamite for this team. He's going to scare teams more than anyone else will. Someone like Tucker, as much as I like him, won't scare anyone. Gattis is just imposing, and can mash. Tucker is perfect for pinch hitting duty.
Gattis is better at home, KC is a big ball park, i prefer Tucker over Gattis in that game. Or, at least have the guy hitting 6th or 7th in the lineup.
Disagree. 1 run could be enough, so you have to play great defense in that final game, remember, we lost because Correa made an error in the 8th. KC is a very big park, we need great speed in the outfield, i don't want tucker in LF in that game, i would not mind him as the DH.
I think moving him back in the lineup is a good thing. I do understand your point, though, about home and away. I say you keep him in the lineup, bump Carter up a bit, and hope they both get hot this game.
Agreed--I would keep him in also and move him down. I think Carter's hot enough that moving him up won't mess with him.. I think..
