The restraining order is irrelevant in this case - I'm sure there were reasons to get a restraining order....BUT people always get into fights and arguments with their exes, family members, close friends, etc. - that doesn't necessarily (at least for normal people) mean you stop caring for them.

Yes, you can. You have to be very young if you don't understand that. You can be in a disagreement or even hate somebody that you used to love but that doesn't change that fact that at one point in your life, you truly loved the person or that person was the person you most spent your time with.
