Blue Bell management ignored unsafe conditions while putting millions at risk, apparently. This is disgusting. No wonder people look at Texas in disgust as some kind of state full of country bumpkins who's only worry is that Obama's ACORN army is going to take over Texas and declare martial law. An embarrassment.
exactly...blue bell knew about this for years and did nothing. they knew and did not care. im a lifelong texan and have always gone out of my way to only eat blue bell, but f*** that company. will never eat their murder-deserts again. and once i started eating ice cream that uses real sugar and cream instead of high fructose corn syrup i realized how s***y blue bell actually is. loyalty is a two-way street and blue bell showed none to their customers.
I've always enjoyed blue bell but I'm gonna branch out. After not having it for a while I was excited to have it again. Wasn't a life changing experience that people make it out to be given the hype. What are your recommendations for vanilla / vanilla bean?
My dad sold them conveyor belt for a while, I think in the 90's/2000's. Had to do site visits to recommend a certain type of conveyor belt and to repair/replace certain conveyor components. When this whole story broke many months back, he found it completely unsurprising. His quote: "Blue Bell and specifically their Brenham staff are the most arrogant motherf***ers I've ever had to work with." Real sugar, FTW.
Count me out. I will never buy their ice cream again after they didn't care. They only care now cause they got busted on it and people died or got sick.

I don't understand how the CEO and the rest of management are still running things. Paul Kruse has the audacity to say the layoffs were the most difficult decision he's had to make as CEO despite the fact that he just had to recall his products because they were killing people. This was a blatant disregard for human safety and Kruse should be facing criminal charges IMO.
FYP Still absurd to me the BlueBell fanboys and girls that were pining for its return as if there aren't a ton of other equally good options out there. I haven't bothered buying it once since it came back on the shelves as I'm fine with the other brands of ice-cream and I don't trust Blue Bell after the recall.
the haagen daz vanilla bean is my current favorite ice cream. remember a few years ago when china executed a couple milk producers for selling tainted milk which killed people?
I don't understand any Texas fandom for consumer food products, like that whole freakout over Whataburger ketchup a while back.
