Amazing how we can figure out the remedy to the bullpen BS Houstunna Friers/blend of starters and now the bullpen gets revamped on the fly San Fransisco Giants style...weakness gone
Who knows? McHugh should be ok mentally. He pitched fine in Game 1 and he did nothing in Games 2 or 4 to put the Astros in this situation. Correa will bounce back from the error. Most of the hitters will probably be ok. They handled pressure-packed, must-win games just fine leading up to this point. It's the bullpen I'm worried about. Pretty much all of them except for Gregerson have choked in at least some fashion in the 2 losses in this series. Unless McHugh has the game of his life or our offense goes completely apesh-t on the Royals staff in Game 5, we're gonna need at least a few innings out of those guys. Will they deliver or choke again?
The biggest mistake in that inning was the sipp correa blunder. It could have been a double play but even that play, under those circumstances, would have been amazing if they had executed it. But it was one more blunder in that inning that lead to the loss.
Astros have looked the superior team this series. Controlled all games and the Royals have been borderline fluky. Bullpen needs to be addressed in offseason via in house or FA. Would prefer a great relief pitcher and a plus hitting first basemen. Chris Davis hitting behind Correa sounds great.

Dr. AJ. Man up and tell Gattis he is resting on Wednesday. Put Tucker in. It is impossible for him to do worse
So you're saying the defending AL Champs and current AL Central champs who won 95 games don't suck? The Royals are a very good team. I think we can beat them in game 5 but there is no reason to feel like we're getting beat by an inferior team. It took 3 games and 6 innings for them to start playing like the Royals...an old school NL team that base hits you and runs on you to death. I fully expect McHugh to be ready for the challenge and for the rest of the guys to shake this off.
Something lost in all the hoopla of this game is the struggles of Altuve and especially Gattis in this series. Head scratcher.
There's a lot to like about this team and some obvious holes that can be addressed in the offseason. I think making the playoffs was a huge win but losing the game like this just stings bad. We have the make up of a team that can bounce back and play well Wednesday but I hope we put up a **** ton of runs.
Rockets got burned by the portland trailblazers a couple years ago and look how that turned out and all is not lost in this series yet. Just tweak the bullpen...give the bullpen a shot in the arm and use friers and starters...not hard
Gotta love Rasmus. Not shaken. Can we start calling him the hitman already? Or "the excellence of execution"?
Remember when you all thought they wouldn't make the playoffs and were writing them off? They came back to win 6 of their last 8 games. 4 of 6 on the road. This team has responded. All is not lost.
Altuve is the biggest frustration. Dude leads the team in hitting and average and right now is doing jack-squat when it counts the most
Well I've done my part today tweeting all the Astros reporters about the bullpen and to ask WHY Friers isn't pitching or any of our starters like San Fran Giants do in the playoffs. I hit them all up...onto Wed can't wait =)
