This hurt. But, it's not really in the category of worst in Houston history to me without being an elimination game. The Pujols homer was worse than this. That homer sucked the life out of the entire building, but we still came back and won that series. Elway's game winning drive in the playoffs was devastating to me at the time. And, that was it. No tomorrow. Oilers/Bills is on an entire different level. It was stunning, shocking and we were up by so much it seemed unfathomable that we would lose. And again, there was no next game. It was over. Finally, stunningly over. It was also pretty much the last straw in a string of choke jobs by that franchise. Phi Slamma Jamma was the same. A last second alley oop. No second chance. Just over, after an amazing season. Then Clyde was gone and Hakeem couldn't get them past Georgetown in '85. Does it have to be a game we were winning? Because the 40 point loss in game seven to the Mavericks hurt more than this. Game 6 of the 1986 NLCS. Losing that game 6 with Mike Scott ready to pitch game 7 was brutal. Stockton's three at the buzzer in the WCF hurt more than this. The losses in playoff series to the Jazz during the McGrady/Yao era hurt more than this. Every time we ran into that Atlanta Braves starting rotation buzzsaw in the playoffs hurt more than this. Losing to San Diego in '98 with possibly the best team in club history all around hurt more than this. This is just me, of course. Just my opinion. But we have with what I am assuming to be Collin McHugh pitching game 5, an outstanding chance of winning this series. This game suuuuuuuuucked. But that's baseball. You must put it out of your mind and play the next game. We have one to play in a couple days, and like after the Pujols bomb in '05, a good chance to make this nothing but a footnote to this postseason for us.
Anyone else have that feeling right now where you just don't want to do anything? You just want to wait for Wednesday to get here
So the team taking a 2-1 lead wins 80% of the time right? I'll take that percentage going into Wednesday's game
Agreed....and all the Rocket losses to Seattle in the playoffs that kept us from kicking Michael Jordan's ass..good post
Here is another one... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/V2GJ2PwXQ4E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> But I too believe in this team. They have shown they can get to this KC team early and I'd like to think Altuve is due for a big game. Hopefully the team puts this game in the past where it belongs mentally, bucks up, and display their resilience.

I think we lost to the Mets this way like we did today...the mets team that was loaded...might've been 1986 when we had Mike Scott etc
HOUSTON ASTROS 2015 SCHEDULE OCT 14 @ROYALS 5:07 PM PDT Damn Wed it is...I was reading it wrong thinking tomorrow..ho hum
I was at work. Checked my phone in the bottom of the seventh to see us up 6-2. Got out of work five minutes ago to see we lost. At least I spent the afternoon excited to come home and frolic in the "Astros are here to stay!" and "These kids are for real!" articles. Oh well. Hopefully Wednesday. At least I'm off that day.
