On another note aside from conference expansion: http://blog.chron.com/sportsupdate/2015/10/two-uh-offensive-linemen-out-with-injury/ That brings the total to three O-linemen out for the season.
I think the new BCS Conference Head Coach Internship Program has surpassed that pee-pee game hotel management BS I keep hearing about. Nobody from that ever manages anything.
Again, thanks for all that info, Donny! And if you still have a second... although you said that PAC expansion can happen at any moment, realistically, it won't be for a while, right? And I'm assuming that can take years and years of waiting? Also, if the Big 12 does extend an invite to us, are we likely to turn it down and wait for the PAC invite?
When UT and the other state schools were entertaining the Pac 12 it was revealed that the travel costs and logistics would be nuts (think of all the non-football sports). So no, I doubt it.
Yes, the PAC has basically all the time in the world. Their only concern is running out of options (i.e. UH getting invited somewhere else). So, as long as we're available, they can bide their time and wait for our profile to elevate to their criteria. I doubt UH would ever turn down anyone if there is a P5 contract sitting on the table in front of them. However, if I were sitting in the big boy chair, I would not have the B12 be my first priority due to the instability/inequity.
Probably not. Logistics is a convenient excuse to fall back on after the boardroom pee-pee games fall through though.
Connecticut isn't in the Big 12, bruhx. Read the original question. Pee-pee games or not, it adds up quick.
If this was the original question: And this was your response: In other words, your argument is that UH would prefer a Big 12 invite because the travel costs associated with joining the PAC 12 would be too great as evidenced by what happened previously with the Big 12 schools. I argued that UH already travels across the country being in the AAC, so that point is not nearly as relevant. How is my response wrong?
I was kind of just razzing you. Ha. Sorry, I'll stop. That was dumb. But Big 12 vs Pac # - I think it's obvious the Big 12 makes a whole lot more sense unless there's some wild TV contract money on the table.

We should, but anything can happen on the road. I'm more concerned for this game than I was with SMU.
