I was there. Ears were buzzing afterwards like I'd been standing next to a really loud speaker all night. Also, when it's THAT loud, and you have a network that isn't used to that sort of noise, you end up with severe/harsh cancellation efforts.
Glad to hear MMP was so loud - the TV mics made it sound really muted in comparison with how it sounded in Kansas, which is a real shame.
It was really bad on TV because he audio was majorly stifled. t was really disappointing because you could tell how hot that crowd was, but it didn't come across on TV. We've had quite a few games that "sounded" louder on TV than the game yesterday.
My parents went to KC for game 2 and were there for game 3. Said MMP was MUCH Louder! Houston shows up in playoffs
I am excited to see Lance pitch today. I hope he is able to go 6. Royals will do everything they can to get his pitch count up early. I think he has the stuff to be a strike thrower and get outs early in the count.
i'm kind of nervous. that royals line up doesn't die so easily. they keep putting pressure with long at bats. I have a good feeling we take this 20-5 though. =)
Lets move Carter to the 5th spot in the order today so he can drive in Rasmus and put Tucker in at DH.
I was there yesterday and yes, MMP was freakin' loud. I watched the game on MLB Network and the noise wasn't even close on tv. All of sudden, all the band wagon fans showed up at MMP yesterday. Where the hell were they all season long?
True! But still! I was there during the bad years. Plus it was easy to find a good seat during those times.
I will be there today again after my class at 10 AM. Hopefully I get a chance to heckle some KC fans like yesterday. GO ASTROS!
I'm a fan of Gattis but you consistently see him take pitches right down the middle, and then swing at balls not even close to the strike zone.....Hopefully he can get back on track today
Took a listen on MLB network feed from yesterday's feed. Yeah, no way in hell did it sound that quiet yesterday. Some lady was walking around with ear coverings for her baby.
Let's close out today and get Keuchel some rest. 2nd last start - 3 days rest Then throws his season-high pitch-count yesterday 5+ days rest would be well welcomed
The broadcast audio was a complete mess yesterday. The crowd noise was muffled in some parts (when the crowd was obviously cheering) and then it would overpower the announcers in other parts. Chris Carter's homerun and the replays come to mind. Either way the ALCS starts Friday and Saturday and Keuchel will not pitch game 5, so he's either starting Friday (on 4 days rest) or Saturday (on 5 days rest) depending on what Hinch decides. The real impact of winning tonight is that it would save McHugh for game 1 or 2 of the next series. That would give you 2 starts each from Colin and DK in the ALCS, which would be huge.
