I still say the Blue Jays. I know they are probably the better team. But the Rangers just have the Astros number this year. I know the Astros won that last series, but there is some mental block against that team.

Yes the Astros will eventually have to break that to be a consistent winning team, but I'm willing to wait to that against the Rangers next year and chance it against the Blue Jays.

First need to get past the Royals though, and that will not be an easy task.

 

Effing Rangers won't go away. I'll root for any team over them in the Playoffs, even the Cubs/Cards. Anyone but the Rangers winning the WS.

 

I think we have to consider that the AL West was the best division in the AL the last month. With the Rangers, Astros, and Angels all trying to make the playoffs. Even though Astros lost a lot games, most of them were of the 1-run variety. Even Seattle played over 0.500 in September. Looks like Astros will finally lose Game 2, but there is a realistic shot at at both the Rangers and Astros in the ACLS.

Who in their right mind predicts that at any point this season?

 

I don't think I could bare it if we lost to the Rangers in the ALCS.

That's not an acceptable outcome. I'd rather see the world end.

 

I'd love to beat the Rangers to go to the World Series.

But I don't think we would beat them.

Losing first place to them was bad enough, I don't want them to send us home, too.
