Castro is capable of tying it, but he's been terrible lately, I would pinch hit. Maris is hot. I'd probably let him hit if someone gets on so that he can bunt or steal a base.
DUDE, i am right, and that is the truth. Today's game is on Hinch shoulder. If you don't want to see it, thats your problem. Now, the silent majority in this forum know Hinch was awful today.
Actually, during one of the earlier playoff games (I think vs. the Yankees) they showed a stat that the Astros shift at one of the lower %'s in the AL for outs. In addition, if you're going to shift in that situation, why are you throwing away to a right handed batter....basically begging for an opposite field hit?
LoL @ People hating on the shift that literally has gotten us to the playoffs. Man, it's just like reading the Rockets post game thread after a loss. Going from "What a job Hinch has done!" To "Hinch is the worst close game manager ever!"
I have a question about shifts, i have no idea about the anwser, but, would shifts work better if you are a power pitcher or if you have below average fastballs.
The shift giveth and the shift taketh away, Ground Control says it works more often than not but it is frustrating to watch routine plays roll through the infield. Neshek has nothing on half his pitches anymore, I hope they have a chance to leave him off the playoff roster when they're in the ALCS.
