It's ok, let's move on, but that pitch he flared to LF was not over the middle of the plate. Most of the time in that situation it's a popup to the 3B or LFer or he rolls over on it for a grounder to the right side. It was a great job of hitting, gotta tip your hat to the guy. The 0-2 pitch from Kazmir was infinitely more egregious. And you're ignoring that he induced a textbook double play ball that the shift ****ed up. Them's the breaks. **** you Escobar, but nobody said this would be easy. Jeebus, Springer was playing softball rover depth there.
Harris in the 7th???? Hinch making ALL THE WRONG MOVES today. Awful game by Hinch Fields was very good in the 6th, why not another inning??? Incredible, bad game by our manager
Kaz made it through 5 innings and had an ERA of 5 today. Good starting pitching is not just about preventing runs - it's also being able to go deep into a game so your crappy middle relief doesn't have to be used.
Game ain't over yet. However, for those after this game (if we were to lose) say this is a huge momentum shift, I could not disagree more. We would have split, which we were Praying we could do, and heading home for two games. One against the potential AL Cy Young winner who is 15-0 at home, and perhaps our third best pitcher who has been fantastic at home. Again, this game isn't over just yet.
Awful, you don't bring Perez in the 6th to face 3 batters, one a righty, awful move. Then takes out Fields who pitched great in the 6th. Then brings Harris who usually pitches in the 8th to pitch in the 7th. What a bad game by Hinch, and by the way, no Sipp. Awful game by a manager that got nervous in a big moment. K, we need you big time on Sunday, don't allow this guy to screw another game like he did today.
Didn't you already tell us the Astros sucked mid-September and that they didn't deserve to make the playoffs blah blah blah?
