IMO they need to jump on that first pitch. Cueto is missing a lot of his spots, and those mistakes have turned into walks, or pitches grooved down the middle. That pitch was in a perfect spot for Tuve, I don't mind the approach at all. Pitch count isn't an issue in my opinion, because I'd rather have Cueto out there than their bullpen.
I posted this last night about Kazmir... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">If Kazmir struggles again tomorrow, have Mike Fiers ready for Long Relief.</p>— Packers 4-0 (@nk_713) <a href="https://twitter.com/nk_713/status/652328335050039296">October 9, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Here is a quick fact about Lance. 12 road starts. Given up more than 3 runs in only 2 of those starts.
I can understand that argument, but I definitely stand by Lance getting the home start instead of the road start. Especially after picking up the first win.
Morales is like Conger when he's hitting right-handed. (comparatively speaking... he's still a good right-handed hitter).
Kaz sure has the velocity going today, just needs to locate that fast ball a little better like he did in that at bat. Get through this inning quickly and set up a Springer/Correa/Colby inning.
0-2 pitch down the middle...come on Kaz. Throw it high, throw it outside, quit leaving it over the middle of the plate....
12 down. If Kazmir could give us 5 or 6 innings of 2 run ball that would be considered a massive success.
