I'm not going to excuse that throw, but Hoyer had 300+ yards and 2 TDs. He played a good game overall.
Our fans like to be mouthbreathers and blame an entire loss on a singular play near the end of the game whenever 95% of the rest of the team played like dogsh1t for the entire game. This is basically all Matt Schaub arguments from 2007-2010 all over again.
Glad to see that we can rely upon Mallett and Hoyer to help us get a better draft pick for our starting QB. They are just battling it out to see who will be our backup QB next year.
Poor and inconsistent QB play, lose takeaway battle, and penalties. That is a recipe for losing which is exactly what has happened this season. You can fix takeaways and penalties and help you compete but the QB will take a couple of seasons if we're lucky. And everyone knows you can't win the ultimate prize without a QB.
Yeah, let's just say my faith in O'Brien is lost. I don't care who we tank and draft, I don't have any faith in this guy taking us anywhere with anybody. He's got some work to do to prove me wrong. This team is weak minded. It's what got Wade fired, if I remember correctly. He was supposed to change that.
Singing the "Texas Fight" song about the Texans Texans suck! Texans suck! And it's goodbye to the season Texans suck! Texans suck! And they will find a way to lose Texans suck, Texans suck For it's losing that they know best Give 'em L's, Give 'em L's, and the coach-speak And it's goodbye to all the fans
The blame on this game is on the defense. Yes, Hoyer made a dumb throw at the end, but he did a pretty good job the entire rest of the game. Without him, we wouldn't have had that opportunity to even tie it at the end. The defense should not have been run over like that. NO excuse. And the penalties? You gotta be kidding me. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Over and over. BOB is not the coach I thought he was. He lacks in proper preparation, he doesnt game plan properly, and he clearly doesn't have this team disciplined like they should be.
That Hoyer INT wasn't the reason we lost. Our defense was poor. No pressure on Matt Hasselbeck despite the supposedly patchwork Colts O-line. Our LB are trash, secondary is average. Mallett wasted 1.5 quarters of offense. Sure, it was close enough that Foster should've caught it but Mallett could've thrown it better. Hoyer is the better QB. Some questionable calls, too, but not enough to where we couldn't overcome it. To be honest, I'm kinda glad we lost and can now commit to tanking. We're better off in the long run by adding more talent to this squad.

If you had the texans above 5 wins before the season started.... I'll say you didn't know much about this team. Very bad corners. Horrible safeties and linebackers Offense is below mediocre. Not surprised. Don't care either. We need to find that franchise qb.
This team has deeper problems than QB. If these things can't be corrected, it won't matter who they draft. Jared Goff isn't going to stop the team from committing stupid penalties or from giving up 27 points to a 40 year old backup QB who was in the hospital 2 days before and hadn't practiced with the team. The Texans threw for 362 yards tonight. Yeah, the INT at the end was bad. But QB play didn't lose the game for us tonight.
Allow me to edit. Texans suck! Texans suck! And it's goodbye to the season Texans suck! Texans suck! And they'll lose it once again Texans suck, Texans suck For it's losing that they know best Give 'em L's, Give 'em L's, wait until next year! And it's goodbye to all the fans
If you watch the game we're not getting sacks because opposing offenses are out scheming us. Both JJ and Clowney are constantly being doubled leaving Crick and others single blocked inside. We have no outside LB pressure because the remaining outside LB is being sent out into coverage. We have to start (early) sending a safety or a corner just to establish and give the look (set) that we will. Show early that we can cover and blitz from the same defensive alignment. That will force offenses to adjust. I'm not sure what's going on with RAC scheme or lack thereof.
Neutralize Watt and the defense is done. Teams will continue to double him and until we find another way to pressure the QB, our secondary will get burned with the penalties following suit. Crazy that with all the money and picks we have used on D, it's still a one man show IMO. I'm not ready to give up on BoB but the QB situation could not have been handled any worst and that's all on him.
It's really as if they don't watch game tape…or when they do, they don't realize what they're looking at. Every single game, we have been out coached. It's really ridiculous. Yes, we lack in talent too, but it starts with coaching. I don't have faith in BOB anymore. He's just not that good.
Romeo's not a good coordinator. Our D was suprisingly good last year. We were 7th in points allowed. But the last time RAC had a defense that finished Top 10 in points or yards allowed was 2004. He had 2 good years as a DC with New England and that's carried his career ever since.
