In the down years, I paid more attention to the draft picks and consequently the minor league players. I only go to about a game a year though.

I'm easily a die hard according to this polls standards.

    I haven't missed more than 100 games since 1992.

The CSN Houston debacle really hurt the Stros more than any of the losing did (especially since unlike the Rockets, few of their games were nationally televised).

The losing opened me up to the MiLB. I started tracking prospects like Correa, Springer, AJ Reed, Mark Appel, Devenski, McCullers, Kemp, etc. and I think it has made me stronger as a fan since I came to understand the Astros organization better and get to experience the joy of watching these guys slowly rise through the ranks until they make it to the show.

    3. I lived in Dallas and they still came on FSH for 2010-12, so I was able to watch many games. Always latching onto players hoping they would be something like Chris Johnson, Jordan Schaefer, Mucas Harrel, JD, etc. I started following more closely during the 2012 draft and enjoyed following the minors more than the major team actually. I hardly ever made it through a full game though and just watched a few innings. That whole CSN crap was when I really stopped watching.

First time watching their game this year and it's was the wild card playoff. Occasionally I would check their standing and that's about it. Baseball is too long and if they end up losing. I wasted 3 hours. I stop following them after they got swept in the world series and the team blew up. Back then I was rooting for biggio and Bagwell to get a ring because their window of opportunity is closing. Been following them since the killer bs and lima time

The Astros total collapse and move to the AL made me lose interest in fantasy baseball too.

I normally watched around 50-100 games...some time more. Until the whole CSN debacle, until we picked up Xfinity.

The losing years sucked, but gradually became more fun when the team had a direction....the young guys coming in, up and comers. Last season was fun, and we attended a dozen games or so (half of which were free via the CSN ticket vouchers).

This year has been unreal, the ups and downs. But to think...that we actually made the playoffs....and not only that...but knocked out those damn Yankees!

    Hell yeah. Awesome season.

I remember watching about 100+ games in 2013 because of them being in the AL and having new uniforms, but they were awful. In 2014 I was genuinely excited and watched basically every game and remember Springer's debut, Carter's 37 HRs, Altuve winning the batting title, discovering McHugh, and whiffing on Jon Singleton.

2011 and 2012 were the real dark ages. Brad Mills was a joke of a manager. I still went to games in those years, but 2012 I didn't have cable, so I didn't watch them much.

Watched most games this year. Didnt have cable up until last year so I mostly read game threads on here before that.

I watch every single game. Every single pitch.

If I know I can't watch it live, I'll record it so I don't miss it.

Glad so many others are bringing up the CSN debacle as a reason for not following them. Makes me feel less guilty for turning my back on them during those years. :)

I remember taking my dad to a game for Father's Day in 2013. We got there 10 minutes before the game started and parked a block away from the stadium. Street parking, no less. We were laughing because looking at the lineups on the scoreboard, there may have been 1 player batting over .200. Besides Altuve, we didn't recognize a single name.

It was actually kind of sad because, as a kid, I grew up knowing every single player on the team along with what position they played and where they were in the regular batting order.

So glad things have turned around and appear to be heading in the right direction. And that I can finally watch them on my television set.

I went to a couple of games, definitely lost interest in the MLB as a whole but knew that the rebuilding would be a process. I hated watching them lose, though, so I didn't keep up game to game. I got excited last year as I saw improvement and knew that we had some guys coming up through the system, and was anticipating an impressive 80-82 season this year :p

I've been here through the whole ride. I've had MLB.tv for the last 3-4 seasons so I could watch my Astros instead of following on Gamecast and Radio as I had done in the past.

I paid attention somewhat, but not like I had in years past..simply because I couldn't watch them. Once they left FSN, I had no way of watching the 'Stros. But once I found out they weren't blacked out on Roots Sports up here in DFW, I began watching a LOT of games starting at the very beginning of this season
(even though I didn't expect them to do good, I watched because I finally could again)

so add me to the list of those who stopped paying attention because of the whole Cox sports Net debacle and came back with Root Sports.

In 2010, I am pretty sure you were living in the heart of the Dominican following the DSL Astros and potentially figuring out if 15 yr old Carlos Correa had what it took to be a #1 pick in upcoming years.

In all seriousness, your drive to cover minor league games made it fun checking in every day. I remember trying to do a recap one of the days you couldn't, and it took about 30 minutes to an hour trying to get that done. Props and thank you.
